Seven One Six Services Magazine Scam Buffalo, New York
Yet again another person ripped off by Seven-One-Six Services. They contacted me two days ago at work, giving me a really good price for some magazines. All I had to do was pass them along after I had read them. I said ok no problem. They came to my work today(my day off) where I had left the $26 required for the first two months payment. My co-worker signed for me, never reading the fine print. I called to confirm they had come and asked her to read the contract. I was then horrified to learn I now owed $740, instead of $156. I called the company immediately to cancel my subscription. They said of course I could cancel. I then got on the internet and found all of these reports on here and was starting to feel really worried. I called 716 services again and explained that I had seen some terrible complaints about the company and was worried they were going to rip me off. The guy on phone went off. Stating everyone from the president to pope gets complaints and I was rude to suggest that the company would rip anyone off- and hung up. Tommorrow I am going to send back my contract via certified letter cancelling my subscription just to make sure. I have also left a message with the Better Business Bureau stating my complaint. Hopefully I nip this thing in the bud and do not get some of the horrible calls and complaints others have received. Moral of the story- If it seems too good to be true- say no!

I completely share your story. This just happened to me. Did you pay any money to them at all? I called to cancel and they refused and said that if I dont pay they will take me court. I'm really nervouse about this.

I contacted my Better Business Bureau today and this company is rated F with them. I also sent my certified letter cancelling my subscription. Crossing my fingers that they don't contact me again.
