I contracted Sheffield Safety & Loss Control due to a requirement to have a safety professional onsite.

They sent me different safety consultants constantly even though i requested the same guy numerous times.

They sent the only guy that in my opinion was worth anything to another state after I was paying for certifications to make him a better safety consultant in regards to the specifics of my job.

Yesterday, I  talked to the guy that was a safety consultant for them and he informed my they terminated him and asked me to write a review of what  i thought of the company.

I will disregard anything the former employee said about the company because then we get into a he said/ she said dispute.

This review is based on my own experience.

First of all,

if I was a business owner I would try to accomodate the place that was using my services.  Instead I had no say as to who would be sent to my job.

My job is very dependant on weather conditions.  I explained this prior to me signing a contract.  I explained that the job might be cancelled in the morning if it rains.  Once the contract was started Sheffield wanted to charge me if I did not report to them at least a day in advance if we were working.  I know that it is hard to schedule anything but I can not predict the weather and somedays it would be raining all around the jobsite but would miss us.  I paid good money to deal with this situation.  So they wanted to change the terms of our contrat after the contract was started.

So my complaints would be listen to your clients and you might get repeat business and do not try to change a contract....it is very unprofessional.  They tried to rip me off with the terms of the contract so other business beware!!!

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Thu, September 19, 2013

I use to work for the company and I asked one of the Project Managers that sheffield was contracted with to do a review of the company.  I told him my side of the story and knew he appreciated the hard work I performed while working his projects.  He said I refuse to get into he said she said disputes but I will write my own personal view of their services.  Even though I worked for the company for months, I have never met Paul. I only talked to him once briefly on the phone, & I have never seen a picture of him.  When I noticed this review I appreciated the project manager to take his time to review the company.  I was suprised to see a picture of Paul because I had no clue what he looked like.  I did not know his race, age or anything about Paul.  Yet, I am not suprised to see Paul's response.  Blaiming the comment on me.  A comment that included a picture of a person I have never met or seen in my life.  It shows his ego and his ability not to appreciate constructive criticism and try to improve his company.

Unfounded Complaint – Possible Disgruntled Employee

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

Mon, September 16, 2013

After becoming aware of this report we have conducted a thorough review of our entire past/current project list.  We have spoken with our client's representative and none of them have initiated this report.

Due to the lack of project detail and seeing the report continually references one employee we believe this report was generated by a Disgruntled Employee we recently terminatedThe suspected employee was terminated, at the client’s request, after he failed to show up for work.

At Sheffield Safety & Loss Control we consider client satisfaction to be a top priority, and our record shows it. In 2012 we worked with over 130 clients, 89% we have been working with for over 3 years. Our clients included U.S, Department of Energy, Fermi National Laboratories, Multinational Corporations, and billion dollar insurance companies / brokers.  All of which have very stringent background checks and quality control procedures.

I would strongly encourage anyone who may use this report when considering Sheffield Safety to assist them with their safety and loss control needs to visit our website www.sheffieldsafety.com or call us at (773)525-5532.

A list of past project along with client references will be provided upon request.
