 Shelby woods north "luxury" apartments is a joke. I moved in here March of 2014 - things went good for a moment but when I separated with my husband and became a single mother I was no longer able to make payments. In the middle of winter in 2015 my mother and I asked NATALIE (if you recently tried to look at the apartments you'll know who I'm talking about) about a buy out option and she told us both that that wasn't an option and the only way to get out of the lease was to go to court. Yesterday, October 6 I received a voicemail from Natalie telling me she wanted to talk about a buy out fee (only because I couldn't pay for the electricity bill and the electricity was turned off) So I went to her office that evening asking as to why she's giving me the buy out now rather than when we asked for it MORE THAN ONCE. Her response was "I don't have to help you" "I didn't want to help you" "if anything I'm helping you now" ... But let's be honest. She's "helping" me now because I can't afford the electricity bill. Keep in mind - I AM A SINGLE MOTHER ASKING FOR HELP. She was fully aware the situation and how hard it was for me to make payments. And as soon as I ask her for my leasing papers so my lawyer can take a look at it; my goodness the lady went off. So trashy and so unprofessional. She instantly started yelling, interrupting me, and was beyond rude - she went on and on about how I started "this" by bringing my lawyer in it... When it was only for MY protection since it's clear that she's a liar and didn't try to help... Along with that she also went on about doesn't have to help me & she didn't want to help me. And that she can sue me for having my electricity off, something I've discussed with her before and told her I CANT afford it. Today, October 7 - I called another lady, Beth. Who handles the bills Im assuming and asked for the manager. Turns out the lady is just as rude and dishonest just like Nataie. We discussed about what happened and she interrupted me and said that Natalie asked my mother about a buy out fee last winter of 2014 and she rejected the request. When that is NOT how it happened. Not only was she absolutely no help, I never received the managers number. Instead I was told - "I'll tell the owner of the property that you want to speak with him and he'll decide if he wants to speak with you or not" Is this really how you treat your clients? Is this really how you handle business? I guess since her father owns the properties she can act like an unprofessional child. For a "luxury" apartment it is by far the worst place I've ever lived in. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS TRASH. It's small, so many problems in the apartment and the people that work that are just trash.
