Shopdigitaldirect.com scam artists Nationwide
Shopdigitaldirect.com is, quite simply, a scam. I attempted ordering a camera advertised on their website and paid a hefty sum to have overnight delivery. The camera never arrived. Instead, on the day it was set to arrive, I got a phone call to "confirm" my order. I was surprised to get the phone call since the camera was supposed to arrive the same day as the phone call. The "customer service" person first tried selling me a battery for $115, a battery that was supposed to come with the camera.
After I told him I wasn't going to be buying the battery separately, he told me that the camera wasn't going to be shipped for 4-5 weeks. I told him that, according to the website, the camera was in stock AND that I had paid extra to have it shipped overnight. He then said that he would cancel my order and, as I was about to ask how they could possibly advertise overnight delivery for an item they did not even have in stock, he hung up on me. When I called back to make sure the order had been canceled, he hung up on me again.
I would never do business with them again. Their advertised prices are untrue. They do not sell cameras and equipment at the advertised prices. They are, in other words, operating a scam. I guess the old adage is true: "if it seems to good to be true, then it isn't".
