Shore Area OB/GYN Refused medical attention, demanded a deposit before an appointment made! lied about missed appointments! Little Silver New Jersey
I have been a patient of Shore area ob/gyn for 9 years (Dr Andrew suns patient!)
I had all 3 of my babies delivered there and today I called for a yearly checkup appointment and a health issue and I was rudely put on the line with someone named Carol. Who was soo awful to me I cried for over 2 hours! She tells me they will not see me because I supposedly have missed 7 appts this year and 15 last, I had no idea what she was talking about I kept asking are you sure, i havent missed what are u talking about I rescheduled about 3 times this year as I have 3 kids and no sitter!
She says thye will not see me unless I give her a credit card by phone and $50. I said I dont have one she says then come in and bring cash, I have insurance though I said, she they wont see me, I said what if Im misscaying right now and she says then you can go to the er adn that I have no respect for hte drs.! I was histerical! I have never been to any other gyn in my life ! m so scared, is this legal?
she was rude and upsetting , I cant face these people I dont have Charge cards! and I cant drive 40 mins to drop off $50 today to see the dr in a week from now! This womans name was Carol! she was rude and nasty. Im afraid I have to now find a new dr, they wont even let me talk to him about my problem. Im scared! Im upset, what if I cant have my next baby delivered byt hte same dr Ive had for years! I cant believe this, and Im told that Im the only person they have to do this to!
Ive never cancelled 15 apts plus 7 this year? what? I think they have me mixed up with someone else! what do I do!? HELP! PLease dont go to this office they are awful now ! If this is a new policy, noone ever notified me about it, adn last appointment htey called me and said the dr couldnt see me becasue he had surgery that day and Id have to call to reschedulE! I was doing that today! OMG They lied and are now trying to muscle money out of me to hold an appointment when I have full insurance covereage!!!!!!

Just a side note that I completely forgot that I vented on this web page at all about this office and then to be told I have been discharged as their patient because of it, well its just plain crazy and wrong! I have a freedom of speech and I will exercise it all I want. Where I want! I never said anything about the Drs. There, they are wonderful, the office on the other hand they seem to do what they want! I guess everything happens for a reason adn I will not be having my 4th child with them! at my side

Today I called to reschedule a drs appointment because I have my monthly friend and cannot see the gyn like this. So They tell me that I have been discharged from thier office becasue I wrote about them on this site. Im shocked and cant understand..whatever happened to freedom of speech!!!??/? Im so upst I love Dr Sun hes a wonderful Dr. and am now so upset to have to lose that relationship with him

Called back to find out who the office manager was..it was in fact Carol Kaufman the main Drs wife! The woman I spoke with earlier! therefore there is no where else to go, she was rude again! I calmly and politely explained that i was very upset with the way She treated me,and handled our conversation, I asked her earlier what If I could be having a miscarriage and I was yelled at by her and told well then you can go to the Er we wont see u! She then denied saying that as if I was delusional to hearing that! OMG. I have no where else to go now. I now see this office is all about $$$$ and not patients health issues. She is more concerned with making sure her hubby makes cash!! I will be going to BBB and whoever heads up drs office issues etc. She claims that I have missed 25 appts last year and this year 7. They called me and canceled at least 2 this year on me and we had to reschedule becasue the dr had surgery to do,she then put me down and asked me If I was done! She was done listening to me! I cannot believe this! I have never been treated in such a manner in my life! What gives her the right? And now There is no one else to go to because she is the end all person to talk to , and to top it off, no nurse or Dr has called me today after leaving several messages about my health issue!Very unprofessional!!!DO NOT GO TO THIS DR!!
