Siesta Keys B each & resort conned me out of $111.99cents for alledgedly not cancelling a extra booking. siesta Key-Sarasota Florida
On the 05/17/2013 My party of four adults (myself,my wife, my daughter,and son in law) arrived at this Hotelto check in for one night. I produced a voucher issued by Travel Republic clearly indicating that two rooms had been booked thro Travelscape LLC.The cost was £139.40pence($211.88cents) .The booking clerk did not even look at these vouchers but informed me that his office had told him there was a charge of $111.99 before he could issue any keys for my rooms. I once again tried to show him the vouchers which he looked at but then said that Travelscape LLC had only paid for ONE room.Eventually I paid the $111.99 which I was given a receipt for. the clerk then said that if Travel Republic/Travelscape sent them evedence that BOTH rooms had been paid for ,they would refund the money I had paid. After Two weeks vacation I returned to the UK and contacted Travel Republic Who forwaded my complaint to Travelscape. I have received two answers from this company which are a total load of rubbish. If you would like to see the last reply you will see what I mean. I even rang tha hotel and after a 5 minute wait,I spoke to the manager and received no less than three different reasons why this had happened and that there would be no refund issued. Not only did I get charged but so did Expedia ,who now own Travelscape,so they made a nice little profit there. I am a retired person living on a limited income and it took me 2 years to save for that holiday to have it ruined by con merchants. There was a similar case on Trip advisor about this establishment charging a lady for alledged not cancelling within the specified time. I really do hope something can be done about these abominable people because it casts a very bad image of the USA.
