Signature Rails Inc I paid a $750 deposit for railings but the business never installed them! Plainfield New Jersey
On November 10, 2007 I hired Darin Carfaro of Signature Rails to install exterior rails on two sets of stairs at my home. According to the contract written by his account manager Mitch Mitchell, installation would not begin until after 3 to 4 weeks from the date on the contract. I paid Mitchell $750 dollars, which was half of the $1500 dollar price quote. The check given to Mitchell, which was paid to Darin Carfaro, cleared my bank on November 19, 2007. After that I did not hear anything from Carfaro about the rails until I made contact with his office right before the Christmas holiday. At that time I was told installation would not begin until after the New Year. Carfaro promised to come out and install the railings on several different dates with no results. Carfaro ignored numerous attempts on my part to either get an installation date for the railings or a refund of my $750 dollar deposit. Not until the week of February 20th did Carfaro agree once again to come and complete installation however he never showed up or called with any explanation. Since the $750 deposit was never returned to me I attempted to sue him for the money. The court date was set for March 25, 2007 however he failed to appear to the hearing.

I'm assuming you paid them with a check or a bank/credit card. If so, you can determine their bank and their bank account number! You may petition the court that granted you a money judgment for an enforcement order to sieze the money directly from their bank account to pay you! The additional court costs for accomplishing this should be added to your judgment by the court. Good luck.

I went to court for a proof hearing to prove that Darin Carfaro owes me money. The judge awarded me $772.00, which included court costs. I also went to police in my township and filed a complaint with them against Darin Carfaro. I still have not been paid. Every time I call his business his secretary, Christine tells me he'll call me but of course he does not. I also contacted the Better Business Bureau.
