A week before Christmas 2017, I bought an "Advanced SEO COURSE" from Simplilearn Americas LLC which I thought was a US Company.
The course was $225, after using their chat service I bought it, ten minutes later I had an email from India saying the course would be offered at $200. Alarm bells were ringing.
When I bought the course it did not make clear that Simplilearn only give a 7 day refund policy. I thought they would be like Clickbank who give a 90 day refund policy.
The course in its menu says "What is SEO?". I thought I was buying an Advanced SEO course, it was nothing of the sort.
It was only basic.
Bear in mind this was just before Christmas and I was busy. But in January I asked for a refund.
A Siddarth Mittra from India offered me a refund only on the condition that I bought a complete "End to End SEO Course".
This course would be $600 instead of the usual $1200.
I thought as Simplilearn as they are based in Raleigh NC, would behave like a decent company such as Clickbank.
In the UK they would be breaking UK Consumer Law as a 30 day refund policy is the law.
They have an address at Kemp House in East London, but this is only an accommodation address, so I can take no action, this gives an appearance to the customer of a real presence, when in fact there is none.
If any Lawyer in Raleigh NC reads this and can help, please let me know.
Many thanks for reading this.
