Found Sipple electronics on E Bay. I was looking for an original Toyota CD/Cassette combo radio. They Did not have the radio I was looking for listed on E Bay, so I asked the seller a question, and was told to call and would be sold what I was looking without going through E Bay. Was charged $185 for radio 3/2/04. Received radio a week later. It was the wrong one, because I gave the wrong info when ordering. My fault. Was told to send back for correct one. I enclosed digital pictures showing the plug with contact pins and plug shape needed. I also sent e mail with pictures.

A week later, I received radio. Wrong One. I guess they can't count or didn't look at pictures I sent to them. Was told to return. I paid shipping and insurance of $13. Received 3rd radio. Wrong one again. Shipped back again, another $13. Received 4th one.Yeah, the right # of pins and correct plugs. Installed radio and over any little bump the CD skipped. Was told to send back just CD player, another $13. Received back CD player, was told CD Mech was changed. Still skipped over any little bump in road. Was told to return for refund, mailed back May 20, another $13. Was received by them May 24.

After about 3 weeks, emailed to see where credit to my AMEX card was. I was told George was out for some medical reasons. A few more weeks and nothing. Received E Mail on June 14 saying "please give me a chance to catch up on some paperwork, I swear you will not be ripped off"

After a few more weeks did not respond to e mails.

I went with them because on their E Bay listings they state why buy 3 or 4 cheap radios on e bay before getting a good one, when you can get their remanufactured ones with a 90 day warrenty. They say most of the radios are taken out of cars and tested by "Joe Schmo" who pushes the power button and sees it lights up, it must be good. They also say they are in business for 65 years.

Because so much time lapsed, AMEX could not help me. Also E Bay says they could not help since I only found them on E Bay, and did not buy through them. Their E Bay name is "BOOBONIC", and I think they must have hired "Joe Schmo"

On January 31, 2005 I notice a box that was delivered to my house. When I see who it is from, I think what are they doing?? I see it is from Sipple Electronics. After almost a year since this has started, they send me another radio. Do the think I was going to wait this long for a radio that works. When I filed a report with the PA BBB, I included in my report that the solution would be to REFUND my money. Why this radio showed up is a mystery to me. I get on the phone with them and talk to a Pat Shilling. He tells me he is new there, so I go through the whole story again. It sounds like he understands and wants to make things right, even saying they will refund my money first, then send me a postage paid return shipping label. It has almost been 4 weeks and still have not gotten any answers. At least I have product that maybe is worth what I paid in the first place. This time I will not send it back before I get the refund PROMISED to me way back last June, 2004. I will keep up with progress.

When I thought that I was not getting anywhere with this company, I purchased a C/D single disc player from Crutchfield. It mounted up to my factory Toyota radio, plugged right in, and works like a dream.
