An Unfortunate Experience...

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Fri, April 27, 2012

After nearly one whole year passed since I last responded to this false information posted about me and my company, I figured the individual behind these lies had finally realized the error of his ways and decided to simply move on. After all, he was quite ahead with respect to the money, given that I had not decided to come after him for the thousands of dollars in damages he caused for which he was entirely liable. I am quite surprised, once again, to be seeing any further commentary here, but I guess some people just never change.

As the 3rd generation of my family's 93 year old business, I stand proudly behind my company, my name and my reputation. My customers, my suppliers, my trades and my colleagues would be delighted to share their experience with us. We are known for our honesty and integrity. We are known to be extremely fair. We are known for our high quality and competitive prices. We are known to pay our people well - we pay high wages for skilled and reliable labour, we pay a premium for superior quality products and we pay fast!

We had an unfortunate experience with Sam Toti of Four Seasons Disposal. With all of the best intentions in mind all those years ago, we can reflect back now and see that quite clearly, we made an error in judgement in supporting this individual and his company. This is not the type of person nor company that we are known to do business with, but at the end of the day we all know that nobody is perfect. We make mistakes, but we must learn from them and move forward. As one of the oldest contractors in Canada, we are quite fortunate to have a large network of incredible trades and suppliers. A few bad apples fall into the mix every now and again and it is our job to weed them out. As you can see from these postings, Sam Toti and Four Seasons Disposal is a perfect example of a bad apple, and we have weeded them out.

Learning from this experience, we have improved our screening process for new suppliers to ensure we are partnering with the right kind of people and businesses that will help keep us around for at least another 93 successful years of business in our family!

Why don't you tell the truth instead of making up stories . If you pay your bills no one will bother you. Stop trying to turn the table when you know your a scammer.

P.S Hope you enjoyed the $2,500 you stole from me.Was it really worth it?

The FACTS!

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Fri, June 03, 2011

I am shocked and appalled to read such lies made against me and my company. Snider Homes is an honest company that has been operated by my family for 92 wonderful years. Honesty, integrity and trust, coupled with expert knowledge and skill, along with a general positive, can-do attitude are just some of the many elements to our foundation that has made and kept us successful for nearly a century. We did not get to where we are today by taking advantage of people or avoiding our bills. I would like to take this opportunity to report on the facts of this matter and set the record straight.

The gentleman talking about removing garbage from our job sites is Sam Toti of Four Seasons Disposal http://four-seasons-disposal-inc-toronto.torontodirect.info/. Sam put a garbage bin on my own driveway while I was preparing to clean up my own house, renovate, downsize and move. Sam did not use the proper support or protection for my driveway under his bin, and subsequently, it began to dent and rust out my custom, pattern-concrete driveway. I informed Sam of this issue several times, yet he never followed through on any commitment to come and rectify the problem. Furthermore, when I was already finished with the bin and wanting it to be removed from my driveway, Sam refused to do so without being paid in full and in advance his requested $1,700 bill. I explained to Sam that he would first need to remove his bin and repair the damage he caused to my driveway before I would be comfortable paying him any money. This was a more than reasonable request to be made on my part, especially since I was beginning to lose trust in Sam and his company, as he had continued to fall farther and farther away from meeting any of the commitments he had made to me. He was becoming less reliable for the needs I had on behalf of my customers where we used his bins, and of all people, he exhibited a horrible attitude and extreme negligence in his dealings with me on my own driveway. If this is how he was treating a man that was bringing him several thousands of dollars of business, Sams actions and judgement were clearly going downhill. To make a long story short, Sam ended up leaving his garbage bin on my driveway for nearly one whole year. And when he finally came to take it away without providing any notice to me, whatsoever, he dragged the bin across my driveway creating further damage in the form of chunks and divots taken out of the pattern concrete, leaving behind all of the rust and sink holes and in the end totaling up to $9,000 in repairs. Sam was unresponsive to my attempts to reach him to get this all taken care of, and he was completely absent in taking it upon himself to do so either. Rather than suing Sam for this damage, plus the inconvenience of leaving an industrial size garbage bin on my driveway for such a ridiculously long period of time, I decided to just move on and forget. That is what nice, good-hearted people like I do in life. We try to avoid the negativity and undue stress in life that can be found in places like a court of law. Even when we have suffered and are entitled to compensation, sometimes it just is not worth it. But to be then further ridiculed unjustly and slandered on the internet by this gentleman who was completely out of line and has no place even being in business with this type of an attitude is totally unacceptable. Our company has not slandered him or his, nor have we pursued the money we are entitled to from him. We are merely the poor victims of this horrible thread of lies which are attempting to damage our goodwill and long, positive reputation. Rather than starting a pissing contest, in which we could share the knowledge we have about this individual and his company that would not be favourable for him, we are taking the high route, and merely telling our story here to ensure any of you who are reading this get an accurate picture of this story, and furthermore, so that Sam Toti of Four Seasons Disposal realizes he has made a big mistake here and is best to cease and desist his slander against our family name and our company.

If anybody reading this would like to get an accurate picture of who we really are and how we treat our suppliers, pay are bills, as well as how we operate, how we handle clientele and the rest of the business cycle, I encourage and welcome you to speak to my clients, my staff, my trades, my suppliers and anybody you wish that really does know me and our company so that you can get an honest, independent opinion of who we are, what we stand for and what we can be counted on to accomplish for you!
