SoCalmovers.us is a web-based business in Southern California that promises to provide for a fee, EXCLUSIVE apartment and home rental information, provided you sign up and pay a "membership" fee. They may have some exclusive listings, but my experience was that NONE of them were exclusive since their "listings" were copies of material that they pulled off the internet from actual rental agencies and real estate companies. When we signed up for their "24 hour membership", which promises: "We also start the showing process for you to view our properties for rent. ", they would not honor that, and required that we sign up for the "basic" membership for more money. Even at that level, they would not provide the address of a rental which we wanted to see, or provide an appointment to view the property. They insisted that some properties you must fill out an application first, and then they might call you back.
In my experience, all I received for my membership besides aggravation, were expired, non-exclusive listings, and no opportunity to view a particular property of interest.
It appears that SoCal Movers and Leases has run this same scam before....
At this time, this company has only had their domain name (socalmovers.us) for a couple of months. The same people ( Sandra Gonzales and others) previously were running a company at the same address in Ontario called: SoCal Credit Repair and Leases. Even though the company is in Ontario, they have not registered their business with the city (against regulations), and they are not found in the BBB.
