Soldiers And Sailors Memorial Hospital almost lost my child due to a nurse who hated teen mothers Wellsboro Pennsylvania
On October 11th 2002 i was admitted to the OB floor in this hospital and was ggiven awesome care. BUt the next morning i had a new nurse to whom i cant remember her name, she immediately began to treat me horribly. My doctor broke my water at 9 30, i was having very heavy contractions and wasnt suppossed to get out of bed. But she insisted several time until i did. After doing so she went out of the room only minutes later to rush me back in bed because she had talked to my docto.
My doctor came in after i discovered there was no heart beat, if only he'd realized she had gotten me out of my bed!!!!!!!
Well i would have delivered my child vaginally i had dilated completely in that small half an hour but the cord had prolapsed so i was rushed to get an emergency c-section.
The treatment from her didnt stop there either. During my recovery she made several comments about how "no one said it would be easy" The next day i was supposed to get out of bed for the first time and my fiance was going to assist me but she said " dont help her she needs to do it herself shes a big girl."
she was so rude to me i dreaded her shift every day and couldnt wait to get out of there.
My first week home i actually spoke to the hosp[ital and they told me there have been several complaints about her but they couldnt do anything about it!!!!!!!!
Well they need to its one story to have a rude nurse but to have one that doesnt check with your charts and your doctor before giving you care andone who almost takes the life of your unborn child is another thing.
i am upset to this day aboutht that. Not to mention the hideous scar i have because of the manner of the surgey. I could have lost my son if Doctor becker hadnt saved my son and me.
