The doctor and those who worked there were friendly at first; HOWEVER, they spend most of their time trying to up sell you products, services and insurance you don't need. I get that this is how veterinarians make their profit but they were obnoxious about it. I had to review my bill carefully because it seemed extraordinarily high (over $100 more than it should be). After reviewing my bill for services rendered it was clear they charged me for things I didn't agree to. It was rectified immediately after I voiced how upset I was. It definitely did not give me a good feeling about the practice.

The day after my appointment I got word that my dog's heart worm prescription through a legit (and popular) third party vet pharmacy was denied and I was asked to call my vet. I have done business with this company for years and never had a problem with any of my Vet's giving them the necessary information/approval to fill a prescription. When I called the company to find out the reason behind the delay they told me it was more than likely an effort on the Vet's part to try (again) to up-sell their own medications.

If that is the case, rest assured we will be finding a new veterinary practice. Completely unethical and just down right shady to deny a prescription in order to sell your own. After talking with the Vet's office on Monday it is clear that my suspicions were correct. This particular practice has absolutely no ethics (or business sense). They basically told me they will not authorize a prescription to be filled by anyone except their own pharmacy, which runs completely contradictory to the conversation I had with the Vet tech at the office.

We talked for 10 minutes or so about price comparisons and I asked them directly if they will price match the popular online vet meds company and I was told their online pharmacy will price match but the actual office I was in will not so you can imagine how surprised I was when Jennifer completely contradicted what the receptionist/vet tech told me. I stated that I have been dealing with veterinarians and the popular online pharmacy for 5 years and I have never been denied before and that it is clear to me that this was nothing more than an attempt to prey on customers who aren't aware enough to see that they're being taken advantage of.

Dr.Ball, Edwards, and the staff I dealt with have issues with telling the truth and should be ashamed of themselves for the way they conduct business. I will never do business with them nor would I recommend them in any situation. Just think if they lie about minor things in order to get your business imagine what they will do in more serious situations. So now I have to go to another veterinarian and pay for the same exams in order to get a heart worm prescription filled. Not to happy about having to pay twice the cost. I don't think I have ever met a shady Veterinarian/staff before but I guess there is a first time for everything.
