SOMA Salon Spa, Aka SKY Salon Aka SKYY Salon Ripp Off and Scam Artist Astoria Queens New York
My brother bought me a gift certificate for $200 worth of spa treatments for my birthday. When I called to make an appointment 5 months later, they said they could not honor it because the spa changed names - even though it was still the same owner.
I went in person and spoke with owner and after a long argument, she said that she would honor it and that I could still use it until December of 2004.
I called today (9/23/04) to make an appointment, spoke with the owner & now they she is not honoring it and is saying that she doesn't remember speaking with me. After about 20 minutes on the phone, she said she remembered but she would not honor it. She only offered to give me a manicure, "as a courtesy."
I am extremely upset and angry and I wish there was something people could do when they get ripped off by some small business like this. I wish my brother could get his money back, and I do not plan on ever going to this spa.
