Sonic Cameras Bait and Switch, Dishonest Crooks...! Marine Park New York
I ordered a Canon 70-200 EF IS USM Telephoto Lens for 1199.00 which was a great prices compared to the normal 1595.00. I spoke with Robert at Ext 232 seemed like a nice guy but tried to switch me to a Sigma at he last moment. I told him I would stick with the Canon. I then ordered a 2x Canon doubler and he switched me to another different brand which he told me it was much better, normal 599.00 but today 299.00 I agreed. With overnight shipping, UV filter, Insurance the total on my credit card was suppose to be 1843.86 but I was charged 1946.80. My shipping bill did not match and any items because they were not priced individually so couldn't tell what you were charged. I paid for overnight shipping and only received the canon Telephoto and UV filter. The product was new but I was missing the doubler. I called and they said it was shipped back to them and I am waiting for it the next day to arrive.
I called about my bill not matching anything and this is were I realized these guys are definitely crooks...!!! I called back to speak with Robert, "Oh he is not in today". I called back the next day. "He is not in I am his supervisor" what can I do for you. He told me
my lends wasn't 1199.00 because that lends didn't come with a camera mount? It meant you could attach it to your camera. The extra part was 599.00 which you had to buy separate to attach to your camera. I asked him for the part number and price for the mount, he got frusterated and told me I could ship everything back because he only made $ 3.00. He told me my lens was a C4395 which come up 1795.00 but you can't find it on the web site only if you get a special number from him.
The bottom line these guys are dishonest, bait and switch and you SHOULD NOT order from them..! I am going to file multiple complaints against Sonic Cameras for dishonest business practices.

The little legwork for doing the paperworks is so worth it. I am a victim, too, and I filed all kinds of complaints possible. Maybe a class lawsuit should teach them... I want to see them behind bars for scamming and being mean, dishonest, filthy, bad people. Let's get together and sue them..
