HMI the corporate entity the manufactures Filter Queen products has had it share of problems over the past two years. The CEO was forced out of the company, they were a publiclly traded company but have since delisted themselves from the market, and they have had to redo their earnings statements for the past two or three years. The information came from CBS Marketwatch. Perhaps this spells the end to HMI.

If you need a Filter Queen, check E-Bay before paying the big bucks for one. You will fine some good deals out there on used ones. I have seen the Defender filtration until sell below $100. A lot less than the $1000 price tag for a new one. They do filter well. I eliminated flying dust particles in rooms within one week of turning one on.
