In December 2008 SourceOne Transportation hired my trucking company to haul a load from TX to NJ, and we had numerous issues with this load. We later found out that Threeway.com was accepting loads as a carrier and then brokering them me. Threeway isn't even a licensed broker.

They are not a licensed broker.  If I were to ship freight via Threeway, as my carrier, they are not allowed to ship through SourceOne brokerage.  Sure they are sister companies but they do not have the authority to move freight around this way.  They are permitted though, to distribute freight given to SourceOne through Threeway legally.

So sorry, the first rebuttal is incorrect.

I am a customer that does business with this company.  From the begining we were told that they have Sister company Threeway.  There are employees in the company that are employed by Threeway and SourceOne, which I was informed of when I first started moving my freight with this company.  SourceOne is the Brokerage side of this company and Threeway is the trucking side of this company (but in hind sight the same company).  If you do your research you will notice that in transportation there are SEVERAL companies that do this.  I know quite a few as i use them as well.  This in my opinion was NOT a case of "double brokering" but more of a case where a Threeway/SourceOne employee accepted the load.  Just because you had problems with this load does not necessarily make this company any less efficient in their business and work ethics.  I see this more of you as a carrier for this company just having a bad load experience and wanting to take it out on whom-ever is around.  The fact that you so bluntley called it "double-brokering" is more of you not doing your homework before throwing around accusations.  If you researched it the most "well" known trucking companies (i.e your big names that you see on television and on the roads when you drive by)  have a department that is linked to theirs (sister company) that brokers out the freight that they cannot cover themselves.

P.S I was told to google this company after moving my freight with them for several months now as a **Warning** I am personally more motivated to do business with this company.  Please have an open mind when any report is put on this sight before making any judgements.
