South Point Kia, Kia Motors USA Failed to honor 100,000 mile warranty Austin, Texas, Irvine, California
My 2003 Kia Sorrento stopped at 67,735 miles due to engine overheating. At first, Southpoint Kia said it was due to the coolant reservoir cracking and empty. Engineers tell me this is not actually a unit that provides cooling and did not cause the engine to overheat. When this was passed on to Southpoint Kia and Kia USA, was informed it was the thermostat, which also passed out of warranty at 65,000 miles. Required $3,609.59 in repairs. Out of service 5 weeks. Similar situation at 80,000 miles. Only $1,400.00 this time.
Have been told by the dealer in Austin, TX and by Kia motors USA that although we have complete maintenance records showing compliance with their requirements, since the unit was past 65,0000 miles, the warranty is not in force. Yet, their sales person says it is!
If any one wants to form, are is already in, a class action suit please let me know at (((email redacted))) or (((phone redacted))).

We have contacted the Iowa Attorney General. They told them that the tranny isn't a warranted part. We have 91,000 miles on it. They just don't want to fix it.We have purchased another car(a GM)since our van has sat at the dealership since March!! I think it is time we stick together and fight them on this!! How many other people have they done this too that have said nothing or just paid for the repairs!! WE SHOULD START A GROUP LAWSUIT!!
