Took my vehicle for inspection. Said I need 2 tie rod ends to pass inspection. They told me they bought them for $40 at Napa auto parts but charged me $118. Plus charged me $120 for labor. Do not go there. Price Gouging and Rip-off Company.

Southside Garage also lies about price markups

Everyone go to Green's Towing in Burgettstown. They do not mark up the parts they put on your vehicle as they make their money through the labor costs. Green's will also allow you to buy the parts and they will install them only charging for the labor. I only went to SouthSide Garage because my brother told me they would treat me right. I told my brother how I was treated and he said he will go somewhere else from now on. So yes Southside Garage is a Rip-off and now you can see they are liers also. Like I'm surprised. Crooks..Just remember Southside Garage that Karma will get you. Just a matter of when.

The price you were charged is within the normal range.

When you have your car repaired the shop will always "markup" any parts they have to use, and 2-3 times the actual cost is about normal.   You won't find any mechanic who will go through the time and effort to get the part, and take responsibility for any warranty work and then turn around and sell it to you at cost.  Oh and please forget the "Wel if they were honest they would only charge me n percent".

As for the labor, depending on the make/model of your car the $120 is also in the average range.

If you really wanted to save money you could have gone down to NAPA, got the part and installed it yourself.
