I had to take out a title loan to hire a lawyer for a child custody battle. I ended up using Title Loan America. I didnt realize that the loan was through another company named Sovereign Lending Solutions.  My original loan was for $1500 but I only received $1100. My payments were around $380 a month. At first I was really good at making my payments. I am a 100% disabled veteran. I had changed bank accounts due to my divorce and my check from the VA got delayed and I got behind on my payments. That is when all of my problems started.

as soon as I started getting my check back I made my payment but by that time, even though I had talked to them and had given them the proof. I had the VA fax them the letter directly. I had a bunch of late charges. A little over a month later, the whole front end of my truck fell apart. My truck is the only way I have to get back and forth to my DRs appointments. I had the choice of fixing my truck or making my payments. They put out a repo order on it then. I was able to send them pictures and have the insurance company and mechanic send everything in for them to take the repo off but again they added a bunch of late fees.

Back in Jan 2014, I  started paying $800 a month to pay down my loan hoping to get it paid off. Last month when I made my payment they said I only owed $400 more. This morning when I woke up my truck was gone. i called and was told it was because my payment wasn't made. My payment isn't due until the 25th. Now they are saying I have to pay almost $2000 to get my truck back.  I asked for a copy of all my paperwork and payment history and they refuse to send it to me.
