SMC - Specialty Merchandise Corp ripoff Requires a exceeding long term commitment to pay for the lousiest computer and poorest customer service on the planet! Fontana California
SMC requires a forty eight month financial commitment of more than one hundred dollars for a cheesy cd audio "How to..." system and a very crappy ACER notebook computer that is certainly not worth even eight hundred dollars. What is all of this money for?
ACER's pityful web site clear recommends Window XP Professional for this piece of crap computer, yet it is shipped to me with that worthless Windows XP Home edition.
The computer dies every time you try to do anything on it. This ACER TravelMate 24XX is, by far the lousiest hunk of junk I've ever laid eyes on and I have seen a few because I have worked in the Information Technology field for more than twenty years.
If you call SMC, they refer you to ACER, and when you call that sorry company, they don't answer the phone in Customer Service. I have been successful in contacting SMC once since March 06 when I signed up for this crap. I have never been able to speak to anyone at ACER.
If I could, I'd sue the ever-loved-hell out of both of these companies, and I do use the term 'company' very loosly.
Please DO NOT, Ever do business with either of these two Mickey Mouse outfits!
