Sprint Operating As Nextel Misrepresentation Cancellation fees when contract ended ripoff Reston Virginia
This company misrepresented and falsified information so that I would be charged excessive fees due to the fact that my end date was fast approaching.Let me explain... I purchased two phones with a 2yr contract on August 15, 2005. On my last bill, I received 400$ in cancellation charges.
I called customer service to rectify this situation as I did not cancel my service, the contract ended. However, I was told by an agent that the contract end date was October 2007 due to a phone I had purchased in October 2005. When I purchased this phone, I was told by customer service that this would not add to my contract end date. Also, In the first week of August before I found out about these charges, I received two separate phone calls from Nextel reps trying to get me to extend my end date/give discounts.
I told both of them that my end date is August 15th, of this year and that I would not be extending my end date. They verified that this was indeed true and one even said, "yes, I see that." If this was indeed not true then I was given false information from the company twice and then was given 400$ charges on a lie that I received from them. This company misrepresented and falsified information so that I would be charged excessive fees due to the fact that my end date was fast approaching.
By the way, I was ending my service due to the fact that customer service was rude EVERY time I tried to reach them in the past. They even hung up on me several times and then I would be switched from agent to agent. I just want to wash my hands of this company. I have been lied to by numerous agents of this company and they have not tried to resolve the issue. (FYI: The agent that I spoke to, August 17, was Saylor Rose)
