Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I have been a long time customer of Sprint over 7 years. At the time I bought what they told me was a smart phone. A Palm Treo to be exact. The phone has worked well up until the last year. Everytime I contacted them they would say you can't upgrade to any new smart phones you need to subscribe to a more expensive plan. I asked them what phones would work with my plan and they told me a Palm Pixi would work. So I went out and bought 3 Palm Pixis (one for each of my lines) based on their recommendation.  I spent over $240 plus tax for the three phones. When I called in to activate I was told by another supervisor that I could not activate. That yes the phone is compatible but I couldn't activate unless I changed my plan! Doesn't make sense?

So then I ask the first lady for a credit. She says she can cancel my service and give me a month free. Not much considering based on their recommendation I bought $240 worth of equipment that is useless to me. However, then I ask to be transferred to a supervisor. The lady refuses. Only after I tell them I am starting to record the call and am formally requestinga supervisor do they then transfer me. When I finally reach a supervisor, the supervisor Heather says she will not offer a credit and only cancel my service.

Talk about customer service! A person who has been a client for over 7 years. I will never use Sprint again after this experience and suggest anybody thinking about Sprint consider this experience when deciding whether they want to be a client.

Springfield,
Rip off but...

It is indeed a rip off but it is also expected. This is the way phone companies do today and that is the catch you would not think about until the time comes -- switch the device. It is very similar tactic to unlimited plan for life which is only for the divice life time, not your life time. Nowadays, you are forced to buy devices from them if you want services, or you will pay a hefty price for your own device. You cannot do anything but rather look for their traps and avoid them...
