A month ago my husband and I were really hard up for a personal loan so I started searching the web. Since we don't have the best credit in the world the choices were limited, so when star credit services e-mailed me I became very interested.

I probably read through their e-mail 5 or 6 times to see if I could find any little loop holes or anything that seemed suspitious. We decided to go through with it and sent them their fee of $150.

About a week later I recieved a big envelope in the mail from them. I was really excited until I opened it and read the first page. After that first page I relized I had wasted our time and our hard earned money.

They have special "instuctions" that they give you on how to go about contacting the lender they provide you with. Then they say not to mention their name(Star Credit Services) when applying for a loan. They tell you to tell the lender you got their phone number in the yellow pages or online. Now if they claim to be such a reputible company why couldn't I mention their name?

The second page was just as bad. They told me I would get the phone numbers of 10 lenders, and that is exactly and only what I received. They hadn't even put the names of the lenders next to the phone numbers!

So I just had these phone numbers that dialed to who knows where, and hoped it wasn't with someone I had already applied with. Over half of them I had aready put my application in on my own before I received SCS info.

I finally e-mailed Donald w/ star credit services asking for a refund. I told him I would send his information back to him, and that I was sorry for the inconvience but I was not satisfied with what I recieved.

A couple days later I recieved a crappy email back from him explaining that I needed to read his instructions, and that even if I was "eligible" for a refund I needed to mail it in because he doesn't do business over the phone or through e-mails.

Of course I'm not eligible for a refund because like I said before I had already to most of the companys on the list and had already been denied.

If this company must remain running I believe they need to tell the straight up truth about exactly what you are getting in to before you send them a large sum of money.

If there is anyway I can get my money back from these people, someone please let me know
