Today is May 1, 2008. Their "Legal Dept." called me at work and wanted the name and contact information of my Attorney. I lied. About three weeks ago, somebody from their "Collections Dept." called me, (again, at work) and offered me a settlement payment of $1400.00. Hmmm, the last letter I got from them was for more than $14,000.00 in payments and late fees. Then he called me two days later and said that I could make two $700.00 payments. One in April, and one in May. My lease states that all disputes would be handled in Michigan. Why are they operating out of La. I have that persons' name and phone number, and I have the phone number of their "Legal Dept.".

Corey, You are wonderful, can you give me more info on how to get with you and your fight, I DO NOT PLAN ON PAYING THESE PEOPLE ANYMORE MONEY. I only remember signing in 3 places and that it was through JPmorgan/chase bank in which I would be financed through not A-1 leasing. I have recently been contacted by National Recovery Systems, Carrollton, Texas and Jim Douglas of Greenspan and Douglas, also by Ted Denning who says he is an investigator for Greenspan and Douglas. I have no money, no land, or anything that these people would want, except my credit. I want to get with some of the people who are sending these reports we need to fight together. I have already sent letters to FTC, Attorney Generals of Virginia, Michican, and Texas, I have also sent letters to the BBB and also to all three credit agencies. I have a friend also that has been trapped by these companies. I have closed all checking accounts with my name attached and have everything in my husbands name, all my vehicles have liens on them and I know they can not touch any IRA's because they are FDIC protected, so what else is there. PLEASE RERSOND TO THIS I WANT TO FIGHT WITH AND ANYONE ELSE WHO IS WILLING. I have an attorney name that was on one of these reports that I plan on sending an e-mail too. David Grossman of Hubbard and Biederman LLp, Have you heard of him, Lets get on yahoo or something where we can talk and exchange info. Thanks
Corey

I have not paid these people a single penny since just over a year ago. They have had their lawyers, private eyes, and collections agencies call and harrass me. It seems that there are two major things wrong with this scam. For one, if you read closely in the lease, and if in fact you have the same lease agreement that I supposedly signed, on the second page there is a part that states that you chose to lease that specific equipment based on your own judgement (I know you did'nt choose it specifically). Given that and the fact that they supposedly recorded all of these conversations proving that you agreed to everything within the lease, they must therefore be holding the evidence that you in fact did not choose that equipment and that the lease actually was a fraudulent document(which if they have all of these recordings of your voice, must by law provide them to you upon your request). And the last thing, for now that is, A-1 Leasing has no idea what equipment that you have all they know is that you have a laptop computer, with no idea of what brand or performance level it is, and the learning materials, which they can tell you everything about. Strange huh? Try recording a conversation with A-1 and playing it for the lawyers and colections people next time they call. And bring up the issue about your supposed choosing specific equipment in the lease and how you would like to hear the recordings of your voice choosing that specific equipment. I bet they wont be harrassing you for long.
