STASSINOS LAW FIRM IDENTY THEFT VICTIM/HARRASSMENT FROM DEBT COLLECTORS MODESTO California
TWO YEARS AGO I LEFT MY FORMER SPOUSE AND CLOSED OUR JOINT CHECKING ACCOUNT IN SONORA CA. 8 MONTHS LATER CHECKS FROM THIS ACCOUNT SURFACED IN ANOTHER COUNTY WITH MY INFORMATION AND DIFFERENT ID NUMBER. In may 9 2008 I made police report on this 08-2027. feburary 2009 I was contacted by Stassinos Law Firm, Although they never identified themselves as such, other than "Hello I am Attorney_______" and I was informed of these checks and That I owe them $3,000. I was told to fax them a copy of my ID and submit my handwriting along with copy of police report. I immediatily did this. Later I was told that my handwriting was "Identical match" and that I am going to be sued for$3,000. And they mentioned my past arrest history and returning to jail for "A Long Time" unless I make good on the debt. I have in my possession my cell phone history of my whereabouts during both 2008 and 2009. I am being refused any copies of the checks unless I give them the money first. They threatened to have Sheriff come pick me up and take me to their court and be sentenced for crimes on ISF checks. I called the police that same day and they called the phone number I gave them. That was when I found out they were a crooked and harrassing Law firm of collection attorneys. So I am angry and wish to be on class action against them. Thank You. Gayle
