Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Caveat Emptor-(Buyer Beware)   Upon reading the report listed above, I felt that it was necessary to provide additional information to support the client's claim.  Allan Goldner is not someone who can be trusted.  During the course of a multiple year relationship, he has mislead our company multiple times concerning costs and processing timelines.  Here's how his program works.

He advertises that his partner in Mexico, Powell Development,  has the resources to fund various types of projects and companies.  He advertises a timeline of 4-6 months from start to finish.  There is a fee collected up front for due dilligence that is supposed to be entirely refundable if the project is not accepted and funded for reasons outside of the control of the applicant.  This is supposed to be the only costs until the closing and those costs can be taken out of the proceeds. At this point, this sounds like a fairly standard deal and there are no red flags that raise any concerns.

The next step is to meet with 'Troy Powell via Skype to discuss the opportunities that are available and to decide if the partnership is a good fit.  Troy's financing is based on leveraged financing which makes sense considering the differing levels of risks that the projects he accepts present.  He determines if there is a fit and decides if he is willing to move forward.  At this point, there are no concerns as it all seems to be very legitimate.

The problems begin at around the 5-6 month mark.  At this point, the message is delivered that the projects are close to funding but that due to the complexity of the financing, it will take a little longer.  Not to worry, they say, the closing and funding should happen within the next couple of months.  Months pass by and finally a Letter of Intent is issued to the applicant accompanied with sample contracts to review by the client.  The catch is that with the LOI, PDI asks for an additional amount of funding to help with the closing costs, a closing that incidentally, hasn't been scheduled.  At this point, Allan and his partners say that the closing is imminent and there shouldn't be any concern.  This line of the closing being imminent continues over the course of the next year without any real explanation of why there are multiple delays.

During the time of the delays, a period that lasts over two years, Allan responds with hostility to his clients when they press for answers.  It is important to understand that Status Group collects fees from the clients draws which means he works for the client and not for PDI.  However, Allan repeatedly berates and attacks his clients when they press for answers.  I can not state this enough.  Allan, who works for the clients according to his agreement with them, does nothing to support his client in regards to the failure to perform by PDI.  This is not only completely unprofessional but it leads one to believe that Allan works for PDI and not for his clients.  In fact, multiple times, Allan tells the client to contact Powell directly for information.  This raises very real questions concerning SGI and their role in the transaction.  As a representative of their clients, it is their responsiblity to get answers and apply pressure to Troy and his company as needed.  Unfortunately, he does the complete opposite.

Now we sit at a point where closings have taken place and registered with the government of Mexico.  This happened between September and December of 2017.  Unfortunately, as of this writing, there have been zero projects funded.  Requests for information from PDI and SGIC have gone unanswered.  The clients were told that the funding would happen in mid January and yet in mid February there are only excuses without any legitimate explanation or timeline.

To summarize, I would not recommend doing business with Allan Goldner and his company, Status Group International.  Over multiple years in dealing with them the experience has been awful.  There have been many statements and the accuracy rate of those statements is in the neighborhood of 20%.  Please review the prior complaint and compare it to this one.  I think you will see that the experiences are similar and not good.  I would like to reiterate that as of this writing PDI and SGIC have funded zero projects in this round.  As a result, I would look long and hard at all your funding options before proceeding with this group.

Unfortunately, there has been zero progress since the update at the end of August. Maybe something happend this week but as of Friday, there has been no real progress.  I am a stakeholder and not part of the day to day operation so I might not have received the most current information.  What I do know is that my company has been told multiple times over the past two months that it would be ready to fund the following week.  Nothing yet.  I would not recommend giving any money to these guys until they can prove that someone closed and funded.  Due diligence is not necessary if they are not able to provide the funding.

Unfortunately, there has been no movement towards funding.  It is approaching one year since the deals closed.  If you are considering round 2, please understand that round 1 has not been funded.   Any promises of closing within a certain time frame should take this into account.

As for the posts alleging false allegations and extortion, neither is true.  Everything stated during my reports has been factual.  As for extortion, I have requested nothing from SGIC or Allan Goldner.  I believe the person who made that claim should refer to the dictionary for the definition of extortion.  It is not applicable.  I am not afraid of either.  My intent is only to tell the story so that people who are considering moving forward for the second round will understand the process and know that nothing has been funded before they make any up front payment.

Whoever you are please stop these posts. All of us could lose our funding opportunity because of these criticisms

According to our experience Status Group International Corp. has been working with us straight, transparent, professional and very honest. During the whole facilitation process we never ever had one single issue. Any delay in the process is not under the responsibility of SGIC. We have entertained a deep check of both, SGIC and PDI and both companies results were with a green light. Nothing that could indicate any illegal or unserious conduct. The deep check has been managed by professionals.

We understand that a funding process where customers do not provide any collateral; security and advance payments, do need time to be accomplished. Additional to that there are many factors involved which are not under the control neither of the fund nor the bank.

If an applicant has not time and no patience in carrying out the process, he should rather try to get a loan from his grandmother or house bank. We wish good luck.

What we do not accept are false allegations and blackmail.

Again; whoever you are, and trust me, we will find out who you are, please stop these posts!

To the author of these dubious claims:

We are also a funding client and we asked you to reveal your contact with us in order to discuss the issue. You never replied. It is obvious that you're a hiding your identity in order to avoid to be prosecuted for illegal allegations and perhaps even extortion. Also possible that you are still speculating in order to get funded by the investors. I honestly hope the investors will find out who you are in order to cancel your application. You do not deserve a single cent.

We can confirm, to all who read this message: we have made extraordinary good experiences with SGIC, especially with Mr. Allan Goldner who is, according to our experience and opinion a very capable and professional but honest and straight business person. It was a pleasure for us working with Allan Goldner and SGIC (Status International Group Corp.) and its team. His job to facilitate Private Equity Funds has been satisfactory accomplished.

To all readers, don't trust people accusing anonymous!

False and groundless allegations against Status Group International Corporation and Allan Goldner

#6Consumer Suggestion

Whoever you are please stop these posts. All of us could lose our funding opportunity because of these criticisms.

According to our experiences, your allegations are false and malignant. It is obvious that you intentionally are trying to discredit Status International Group, represented by Mr. Allan Goldner. That is shameful and illegal too.

For all the people reading the anonymous allegation of a dubious person, read the following about www.ripoffreport.com;

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ripoff_Report

Companies or individuals who have been named in a report may respond with a rebuttal at the bottom of the same webpage, which explains their side of the story if the rebuttal is approved by Ripoff Report. There is no charge to submit a rebuttal, but they must have a registered account. Alternatively, to "repair the reputation" because of something that is written in the website, Ripoff Report asks them to pay for investigations of complaints and responses carried out by "Ripoff Report's pool of Arbitrators", and to edit the webpage. According to Bloomberg Businessweek, this mechanism is an example of "how to make money rebuilding reputations: have them destroyed first", which is why a federal court stated that victims have "probable cause to sue for extortion and racketeering".

Ripoff Report's legal page claims that "you can't sue Ripoff Report just because we provide a forum for speech" and that "Ripoff Report has had a long history of winning these types of cases. This is because of a federal law called the Communications Decency Act or CDA, 47 U.S.C. § 230." On the contrary, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit stated that "the Communications Decency Act does not immunize Xcentric for the content it creates and posts" and "does not immunize misrepresentations made by a publisher about its publishing conduct."

In my personal opinion;

Serious complaints are only those contributions where the persons making claims can also be publicly verified and contacted. Everything else is dubious and opens the door to scammers and rip-offs. In this particular case, the operators of this website provide a perfect platform for these dubious persons.

Still No Funding

#7Author of original report

Thu, August 09, 2018

We are almost one third of the way through August and there is still no funding.  Each week there is another excuse sent out as to why it hasn't happened that are all too familiar given the last few years of "updates".  If by some miracle these guys deliver, I will happily post that they have.  As you can see from the chain of updates I have provided it is unlikely that they will.  Every week we are only a week or two away.  Add those weeks up and you waste years of time.

Jason,

I think it is definitely time for action.  I am trying to think of how to gather the projects together to take action and force PDI and SGIC to provide us with a no B.S. explanation and truthfully admit whether they have the money or do not.  Thank you for your supporting comments.  I think it is important for people who are being approached about putting in money for the next round to understand what is happening with the first.  I wish somehting like this would have been out when we started working with these guys.  At least we would have known what to expect.

Time for action

John,

I am also apart of this funding and agree with all your comments. I think it might be time to take action. More of us need to band together to make a loud enough noise so Allan and Troy take serious note. They are hiding behind the confidentiality agreement but with their gross negligence and misleading behaviour it's my opinion that the agreement would not hold any credibility in this case.

Not Accurate

Just a few things that need to be said to correct Mr. Goldner's previous rebuttal.  This is not an issue of someone wishing to hide in the shadows.  As one can clearly see from Mr. Goldner's rebuttal above, he intends to make it difficult on any project who speaks out against what has become an absolutely ridiculous failure on he and his partner's part.  Personally, I don't believe them to be the types who intend to defraud people.  However, while the excuses pour in the results haven't followed.

1) The confidentiality agreement does not allow for pulling funding due to the violation of that agreement.  However, thanks should go to Allan for providing a perfect example of how he likes to threaten his clients when they compain about his failure to perform.

2) If, as he said in his rebuttal, he only makes introductions then he would not have the ability to pull anyone's funding.  He either makes hand offs and does not have much power after that point or he is able to pull a project's funding.  That's it.  He can't have it both ways.  In fact, he hides behind the idea that he can't do anything when the time lines aren't met.  In that case, I see no reason to believe that he is going to stop the funding of any project.  He isn't even powerful enough to get good and consistent answers on why things haven't progressed.

3) The time line was provided by Allan at the beginning of the process and was less than one year.  He established the time it would take to complete the transaction so perhaps it is him who does not understand the complexity of this sort of funding transaction.  I know that there are clients who have been waiting for 2-3 years or longer.  He set the time line and it wasn't even close. It's convenient to now blame his clients for not understanding when he explained it as a much different process.

Again, I would be very cautious of giving any money to SGIC until he can prove that he has delivered for his clients.  These posts would not be necessary if Allan was not continuing to solicit funds from new projects when the program he is using has not been successful.

Cowering in the Shadows

#10REBUTTAL Owner of company

Mon, July 02, 2018

We live in a wondrous time with our technologies. There are websites that allow for concerned travelers to read about the actual experiences of others in their dining and hotel choices. The reviewed properties have only one condition in accepting these opinions; the reviewer must agree to reveal their identities. This makes the experience credible and allows for the reviewed businesses to make amends if necessary. Unfortunately when reading reviews like this one I’m responding to; the reviewer chooses to hide in the shadows.

In this situation, this reviewer has cowardly chosen to condemn my firm and myself yet while simultaneously waiting for his company to be funded. Having someone attack your reputation as a business person built up over forty years of success as well as that of your company that has steadfastly surmounted every obstacle for over eleven years, is a heinous deed while using this anonymous feature only adds to this schoolyard gesture. In reviewing these statements, it becomes clear that this complainer has an unsophisticated financial understanding of private capital investment as well as to the complexity of this huge transaction.

Additionally this reviewer doesn’t seem to understand that my firm packages the financial packages on behalf of our investment group and that our services have been rendered exactly as offered. We are now all waiting for our efforts to be rewarded. Attacking my firm is a cheap shot. Lastly this party has ignored and violated its executed NDAs. Very troubling. Finally due to some review of writing style and certain conversations, we now know the identity of this client cowering in the darkness and while all of our clients in this round are being funded, we shall not be funding this one.

End of June- No Funding

#11Author of original report

Sat, June 30, 2018

As of the end of June, there have been zero fundings from SGIC or their partner.  Each week since the last update, the message has been that it was close and that there was just one more step needed.  Of course, every time the end of the week came, there was either no update or the update included an excuse that some part of the last step had additional steps itself.  Sometimes it was just that the last step was taking long due to various excuses.  Basically, this seems like a stall tactic and the funding seems to be even less likely than it was last month.

I'll update IF they happen to pull some kind of miracle and produce.  Again, I would be VERY hesitant to give Goldner any money until he can show that he has funded some projects.  If he uses the excuse that it would violate the confidentiality agreement, that is only true if the party that funded does not give permission.  They are able to provide the confirmation that it closed if they so choose.  Don't let Allan fool you.  He has a complete misunderstanding of how that agreement works.

As of this writing, SGIC and their partner have not funded a single project.  They do promise that it should be imminent but that has been the case since last December.  Hopefully, they come through soon.  If so, I will happily post an update.  As of now, I would still be very wary of doing business with them.

Allan Goldner is unwilling to discuss the past issues. Instead, on multiple occasions, he HS stated that it’s in the past and he is unwilling to focus on it. This would be okay if the failures had been addressed at any point. However, because there is a distinct pattern of using similar excuses and being unwilling to provide detailed answers on why these deals have been going for multiple years with no funding in site, the past is very much relevant as it appears to be very indicative of th future.
