Sterling Jewelers Kays, Jareds No Compassion for Employees akron, Ohio
My wife has worked for Kays, owned by Sterling, for 2 years. She and other employees were slapped in the face by their store manager, subjected to mental abuse, and later, retaliation for reporting the incidents. Employees reported the incident to corporate H.R who did NOTHING. They moved my wife to a different store and lied through their teeth on several occasions about what happened and what action they took.
The new store does not have surveillance cameras, which I find amazing that a jewelry store does not have cameras to protect their employees. The culture of back stabbing is rampant in every store. People are fired if they do not sell as much as Sterling says they should sell, even if they are otherwise great employees. People go to work at Kays every day in fear that if they don't get enough sales, credit applications and whatever else crazy crap Sterling comes up with they will be fired. This leads to a hostile work environment. What's worse is that Sterling apparently doesn't realize that the economy isn't the best and that to add more people to the unemployment line when the rates are rampant isn't helping the country any.
If you are a former employee, or know of one, that was fired because your "standards" weren't where Sterling wanted feel free to contact me at (((REDACTED))) @centurylink.net and I will be happy to share the CEO, Mark Light's personal contact information with you. Even if you are a pissed off customer who hasn't gotten any satisfaction from Kays or Jareds feel free to contact me so we can all let Mark Light know what kind of company he is running.
