Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
The owner of this company is a bully, dishonest, and doesn't manage a property at all. He will lie to your face and then try to cover it up with another lie. He will move you into a house that's not fit to be lived in and pretend to be your best friend. For example, no heat for over a week in the middle of March, no water in the middle of May, etc....

It's always nice to see constructive critisim form a comeptator. Since we opened our doors - all of our maitnenance, inspection and billing has been closely tied to each property address. I can assure all that are reading this -  that the complaints being made are baseless and without merit! We are happy to provide records to support the defense of the claims. It's really sad, in this emriging market, with so much comepttition, business prfessionals feel the need to resort to annonomous ficticious complaints about competators business pratices in an effort to gain market share. Sad. With all due restect, all property management business models are imperfect and will attract a percentage of disatisfaction, as you will soon discover. It would helpful if the peroblems presented by folks up here were real as it would provide an opportunity to impove internaly. Best of luck in your rental efforts.

Dissatisfied Tenants

It's truly disheartening to read anonymous testimonials from those tenants that have parted with a negative opinion of our company. That said, we make every effort to accommodate our tenants and investors but are sometimes "hamstrung" by circumstances beyond our control. In a perfect world all demands, grievances and requests would be addressed to the satisfaction of all involved. This just isn't possible in some circumstances. We are real estate professionals, bound by a regulatory body (department of real estate) and subject to audit and/or complaint mediation. There is no opportunity to "lie" or mislead someone as the subject property is always subject to a physical walk-through inspection prior to signing a lease and the terms of the lease are written and in plain language. I apologize for your unfortunate experience but its just not possible to "trick" an applicant into renting a residence let alone mislead them about location. As to the Utilties, no heat or water would be a violation of California Habitability guidelines and (properly notified) we would have had them restored to regain compliance - even though the billing balances were your responsibility to pay. If there was an interruption (and I remember your particular situation) it was initially caused by your failure to pay the bill. I'm very sorry you felt this was the place to vent you frustration but understand.

It's always unfortunate when you find your company mentioned in a negative manner - under any circumstances. Stone Creek Property Management is a residential property management company that specializes in tenant placement regardless of credit, economic or rental history standing. As a result it's not sup rising that there will be some unhappy tenants through the years. Property Managers are tasked with balancing the requirements of the property Owners with the demand of the Tenants. Sometimes the situation may become irreconcilable and denial of tenancy or eviction and (ultimately) litigation may occur.

Understandably (in those situations) a lot of negative sentiment and sometimes frustration and even anger can rise to the surface. This is usually directed at the most visibly party - the Property Manager! More often than not the Tenants seek an outlet to vent their frustrations and you see the negative reviews appear on websites like this one or Yahoo, Google etc.., The anonymity of the complainant is convenient and comfortable so as to allow only the details that matter to that individual to be presented and not all of the details. If all of the details were disclosed the readers of the negative review might not be as sympathetic to the complainant.

With respect to Eviction and Denial of Tenancy (in every circumstance) a very detailed process (as defined by Californian Civil Code and Tenant Landlord Law) is required to be followed. With most smart Companies (including ours) the Attorney of Record dictates the particulars to avoid unnecessary ligation! In response to the complaint - the action was warranted and upheld. It happens in this business and bad review are part of the territory!
