Street Corner News AKA Street Corner Sips, Snax, & Stuff Breaches contract on time frame just to add another franchise and makes the buyers life a living hell. Too many things to mention in space. Have proof of lies Topeka Kansas
My husband was looking for a business and he was refered by a franchise consultant regarding Street Corner. This was the first time the franchise consultant dealt with this franchise, so he was unaware of the deceit. The consultant knew my husband had a deadline to meet because he was out of work for a whole year and no income was coming in at all from his stand point. So the Street corner said no problem we can have in 3 weeks.
More like over 3 months to say the least. We found a location in a mall in Massachussttes. Because this is where the street corners market themselves to be. They were very unhelpful from start to finish and now out of distress we are just about to open BUT the company that they have design the kiosk did an awful job. The kids are trying to rob my husband because of the design and my husband told them he doesn't like the way it is open. Well none of them seem to care. The designer won't get paid till after the job is complete and these issues are taken care of. He also breached the contract.
All the evidence is in our hands. They don't want to take any responsibility because of money. We should not have to pay for their lack of diligence on a project. All they care about is the $$$$$$$$. I am sick & tired of being ripped off and having to pay for someone else. What can I do? I think this is a start. I want to tell everyone who is interested in buying a mall based franchise like street corner. I would warn against that. I would tell you try and introduce yourself as an independent. Do not buy into this franchise.
They are a bunch of scum bags in my book. My husband is very stressed out because of them and caused a big marital strain on our marriage because of finances and they just laughed. I am appalled at the way they treat the people that buy into this idea. We are conteplating on selling the d**n thing now because it is very hard to have a working relationship with people like them.

My husband & Street Corner negotiated and resolved some issues. My husband is finally in his business and he seems to like it. However, that delay really did hurt us. They are asking my husband for me to remove this and that is impossible. I could only update you on the status. My husband is finally in after approximately 2+ months delay. So if anyone is interested in opening a franchise make sure they meet their deadlines. Nothing wrong with their concept it is the way they handled themselves during a big transaction with my husband. Somewhere along the line the ball was dropped. Well now someone picked that ball up & issues were dealt with. Keep in touch everyday and find out what is up? Go check things out with every aspect of this franchise or any other if it is what you want. Consequently they did realize things did go wrong with us and they did resolve issues with my husband. Hopefully we can all get along now. We can all learn from mistakes made. That is how we all grow.
