On the evening of Tuesday, March 16, 2009 a young man named "Jimmy"came to my door saying that he was a Reserve soldier working for Success Express Sales, Inc. and he was looking for people to vote for him. He then said he is a part of a competition trying to win a trip to Europe by getting votes. He asked us to fill out a comment card stating he was respectful and great to the people he visits. Never saying anything about money he asked to come in to use our table to fill out the comment card. I invited him in because he stated he was the son of a CO (Commissioned Officer) attached to 3rd Infantry division which is a unit on my post. He also knew about the units stationed here on Fort Benning, Proficient with Military Rank Structure, Basic Training and MOS's in the Army. He told us that if we were to buy magazines from him he gets points helping him with the competition which was so much better for him to win the trip then just filling out the comment card. Every time I asked him about money his catch fraise was "No it's even easier than that". He came with a good story like "Your neighbor just bought magazines from me"(while flashing cash). And "My father is an officer with 3rd ID". We (Me & My Wife) gave him a check for the subscription of the magazines. He said thank you and left. Right after he left the house we realized that it could be an scam. I got on my computer and started to do research about the company that he works for. After I saw on the computer that the company had scammed people in the past I rushed to find him in our complex while my wife called the MP's (Military Police).

When the MP asked him for ID and permit to sell on this installation he said "I don't have one."

The MP then said "How did you get on post?"

Jimmy said "I was hiding in the back of a car."

The MP then put him in handcuffs and took him to the Fort Benning Station. The next day my wife was worried about the Scam we became victims of and she did a big research in the web and you are not gonna believe what we find out. The company have 27 employees sleeping in 2 hotel rooms, who knows how?!?! What are they putting these kids that work for them through? Is there any laws that can save future victims? What they do is that the go military installation by military installation with the same story about the competition and after a week of selling they change addresses and phone numbers and you never get your magazines or money. Their best victims are our Army Wives who's husbands are deployed. We try to call the city police and they said "We can't stop them because the company has a business license and they pay their employees." but they too were concerned!!! They are not just attacking military members it's our fellow civilian supporters and family. So at the end you don't get your money back and you never see them again. Many people don't get their magazines some say they do, but I don't understand if they are so legit why are they running such a shady service. Numbers that lead to nowhere and false addresses?

They did it in Ft Benning this month (March) and next week they are moving to Virginia Beach, VA. My wife has already contacted their law enforcement to warn them. I'm sure they will be getting reports soon. They have also been reported to say that they are trying to get Scholarships or are Iraq Vets. We can't do anything about it, but what we are capable of. And that is contacting everyone we can to help our society.

---Why are people so naive to believe these outrageous fabricated stories!  Assumptions, hear say and irresponsible consumer reporting.                                                                        ---Our representatives are independent contractors and occasionally they are "invited" onto military installations by military personnel.  How could they possibly hide in the back of a car & get on a gated, closed military installation.                                                                       ---Their statement is... " we realized it COULD BE A SCAM."   Already tried & convicted. Then ..."she did a big research in the web."  I don't think so, she get on this website and as long as anything came up  we are a scam in their eyes.  27 people in 2 hotel rooms, absolutely ridiculous!  Our sales reps share rooms dormitory style 2 to 4 a room.

---Also, stating these other baseless accusations, "...attacking people....shady service...false numbers...addresses..."  Boy they got on a roll of slanderous statements.  FACT: WE HAVE BEEN AT THE SAME ADDRESS FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS WITH THE SAME PHONE NUMBER AND HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF SATISFIED CUSTMERS (see below).                                                                                                  ---When we bring our organization into an area we are boosting the local economy by spending thousands upon thousands of dollars.  Hotel rent $6k to $7k wk, gas $1k wk, food & entertainment $8k to $9k wk.  That is 15k to 17k per week plus vehicle repairs, supplies, overnight services, etc.  As stated we do obtain licsensing & permits when required

---Once this website came to my attention I felt compelled to give some FACTUAL INFORMATION to consumers who visit the Rip Off Report website.   I have read all the complaints regarding SUCCESS EXPRESS SALES, INC & PACIFIC COAST CLEARING SERVICES, Inc. on this website.                                                                      ---Unfortunately all these reports are based solely on assumptions and hear say.  Every one of them have been filed by irresponsible consumers.  It is this kind of irresponsible consumer reporting that slanders good companies based on assumptions and hear say. Please get facts and both sides of the story before you just jump online and do damage in our case to young adults doing something positive and improving their futures.                                                                  ---We would have liked the opportunity to address these situations in a professional business manner.   These consumer should have contacted us through our telephone number (1-253-851-8414 customer service) or mailing address (5775 Soundview Dr. #103-C Gig Harbor, WA 98335), provided on our receipts or through our website(sesales.info).  We could have appropriately addressed these situations and presented the FACTS.                                ---This is a positive and constructive goal orientated program for young adults, over 18 years old, to  travel the country developing inter personal communication skills, gaining an education in direct sales and brightening the future of the youth of America. 
---Our representatives are in a contest selling magazines subscriptions to collect points to win a trip to Europe, a Carribean Cruise, or a trip to Australia and cash awards up to $5000.  The top two individuals in the contest every six months win the trip.  The cash awards are awarded in a separate contest in $500 increments.                                                                                          ---Our business group, Success Express Sales, Inc., has been participating in these contests for over 20 years.  We adhere to a strict code of ethics and moral standards.  Our magazine subscriptions are cleared through the premier magazine subscription clearinghouse & customer service center in the United States, Pacific Coast Clearing Services, Inc.                                    ---In regard to the other issue in these reports filed:
1) These are young individuals who are working on their futures.  They are going to be inquisitive on your career, interest, etc.  They are trying to find their path in life and improve their futures. 
2) The magazine term and cost are dictated by the publishers of the magazines. On any particular magazine it could be just a 1yr, 2yr or 3yr subscription that we are required to offer.
3) There is a $15 process & handling fee for each customer regardless of how many magazines are purchased.                                                                                                                           4) If more than one magazine is purchased the customer can choose a magazine off of a list that Success Express Sales, Inc. will pay for.                                                                                    5) If magazines ordered are paid for in cash they do receive bonus points.                                   6) All contestants are instructed to obey signs posted and to represent our contest appropriately.

---I believe this could be a fantastic information tool for consumers if used in a responsible manner.  However in these incidences these consumers where hasty in making  such quick judgements based on assumptions & hear say.
