Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I almost have to laugh at the irony regarding my wife and I moving from Florida to North Carolina to get away from the constant burglaries and thieft, and being robbed by the company that moved us up (which is from Florida).  Unfortunately, I did not have a choice of moving companies, as I was relocated by an employeer, and had I read the reviews, I probably would have hired a crew and moved myself for cheaper.  We had several items broken or scratched, which issomewhat normal during a move, but we also had items blatently stolen, with only one group of people possible to blame.

My wife was pregnant, and her wedding/engagement ring would no longer fit.  Thus, I carried it up myself to ensure that it would be safe.  I also brought up important papers and a small safe about a week ahead of our move.  On the morning of the delivery to our new home, I placed the ring into our safe along with our important papers.  I specifically recall this, since I pinched my finger between the handle and the key when I put it on the top shelf in the closet.  I left the key in the safe so I wouldn't lose it, and I didn't think the movers would go in there.  The movers did go into that room, and after an organized morning of moving stuff in, they began to rush in the afternoon, and put EVERY remaining box in our garage, regardless of where they were labeled for.  Once they left, I noticed that they key to the safe was gone, but I just assumed it had fallen out and to the ground.  As it turned out, my wife found it amongst boxes in another room weeks later, which was odd.  When we reopened the safe, the ring was gone.

Since my wife and I were the only other people in the house, it was exceedingly clear who had taken the ring.  We filed a claim with Suddath, due the their negligence, and their deep investigation into the issue involved them asking those involved if they had done it, and AMAZINGLY they did not admit it.  So the claims rep said that they were not liable and refused to help.  He sited "Since your ring was never tendered to us for transit, it is not something that is covered by the transportation valuation coverage."  Well duh....the reason that it wasn't tendered to you, is bacause I didn't want it stolen.

They claim zero percent liable, when it was one of their employees that was 100 percent responsible.  What a horrible company, and what horrible service.  The main reason that I want to share this story is because they are obviously STILL going to use this crew of thiefs, and these employees now know that they are free to steal anything that they don't transport, and that their company will back them completely.  Hire a crew, and move yourself.  You can even insure your load if you want.  You will not only save a lot of money, but you will not have to deal with a customer service chernobyl, who will more than happliy believe their criminal employees over you.
