After Sugarcraft did not respond to my last email, I decided to go to their website and and post a "friendly reminder" on their website. Just as another patron of Ripoffreport.com did when she was ripped off by Sugarcraft. I wrote: "Hello, I just wanted to remind all readers to go to the Better Business Bureau website before ordering from any company online. Even if they seem like a friendly Christian company. They could end up charging you more than what you approved for your credit card transaction." They responded by saying: "BBB has no jurisdiction over any company. They merely collect information, true and VERY untrue, on any company that any bad person sends them. Most companies nowadays don't have time to reply to them. I certainly don't. Maybe the company you are complaining about had a warning like we have on our website where shipping method is chosen. We are honest and tell people right up front that we don't know if UPS will charge the price we estimate. We caught them charging more for outlying areas and a few other 'hidden' things. Of course we can do nothing about that so this is why we post all the information in case UPS pulls that on our customers. We have the following information right below where the products chosen are seen. This is easy to read since it is with the Shipping Method: "*UPS charges additional $2.15 for delivery to some areas. Shipping charge will be adjusted without notification." I would advise anyone selling anything to do the same - since we can't really tell what they WILL charge when they sneak one in on us. " So, I responded by saying: "BUT the company is responsible for charging you whether it is $2.15 or $500 YOU (the company) are the one ULTIMATELY responsible. YOU (NOT UPS) are the ones that CHARGE our credit cards. YOU are the one that runs the credit card through YOUR machine, NOT UPS. So if you are planning on running through 102.15 when the customer only approved 100.00 you'd better be notifying them. It is YOUR HANDS that type in the number NOT UPS." So, I emailed UPS this morning telling them what Sugarcraft was doing. I told them exactly what I said here in the first report. I have also reported them to the BBB.
