We signed a contract for vacation club services and was given assurance that we had ten days to give the lawyer time to revoke the contract if any illegalities were found, and then payment would be due. However, on the previous days before the 10 days had passed this company went into the Credit Card company and started to withdraw small amounts up to $1,100 worth.
They had asked us to sign a credit card vocher from our credit card for the total amount as "an act of faith" when at the sales presentation. Also, they had not disclosed to us the fact that their registration with the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) had been revoked just previously. Without the registration of the Travel Industry Council of Ontario we could not apply for a claim for non delivered services from the travel agency. Also, when in the presentation we were told that Sun and Ski Vacation Club had as it's parent company Vacations in Paradice and showed us a picture of the offices on the main street of Collingwood.
It was reassuring to see this building as we left. We were told that company, Vacations In Paradice,had been sold, when talking on the phone the next day, a Sunday, with a representative and therefore had nothing to do with Sun and Ski Vacation Club. This was after we mentioned a RIPOFF REPORT re Vacations in Paradice. Which is how we found this web site! We should have checked here before we signed !

Sun and Ski Vacation Club chose to proceed legally in regards to the Smith/Baulk complaint. The case was heard recently in a court of law and a ruling was entered agaist the plaintiffs. All of our clients concerns are regarded with the highest of priorities and every reasonable attempt is made to satisfy the concern before legal proceedings are initiated, however in some cases such as this it is impossible. We have and will in the future continue to provide our members with the highest standard of service possible. please note the following: Sun and Ski Vacation Club is not nor has ever had any affiliation with Vacations In Paradise or any of it'd subsidiary companies! owner Sun and Ski Vacation Club

Mr Malcom Dickson and Ms. Baulk/ Smith purchased a membership from our company March 20/04. Upon exercising their rights to legal representation, their lawyer was unable to uncover any illigalities regarding their contract with Sun and Ski Vacations. Sun and Ski proceeded to attempt to collect the balance owing as per the terms and conditions of their signed legal and binding promissory note. Both their pre authortised credit card vouchers were declined for lack of funds and we were advised by the credit card companies to hold their cards. It is the opinion of our legal department that the remarks made on the internet by Mr. Dickson and Ms. Baulk/ Smith are inflamatory, slanderous ,without merit and completely untrue. Sun and Ski Vacations has every intention of proceeding legally both to collect the balance owing on their contract and in regards to their recent remarks.
