Complaint Review: Sunmount - Tupperlake - Tupper Lake New York

It may be distasteful to refer to the consumers at Sunmount as "tards". But let me make you aware of what a majority of these people are that populate Sunmount. (They're not all disabled and helpless). The units consist of consumers who have molested children, raped family members, some have comitted murder. Some are considered disabled. Some have fooled the system and ended up in Sunmount, a place to "rehabilitate" them, rather than in prison where they belong. (How would YOU feel if one of these "innocent" people got at one of your children?) Not to mention, they're allowed out in our community, because it's "their right". Don't get the false impression that being an employee here is like caring for people in a nursing home. That's NOT the case. The employees are trained much like a prison guard would be. These employees are attacked and injured by these consumers, and some have been permanently disabled as a result of an attack.

I came across this and it made me sick. Are these the kind of people taking care of the developmentally disabled? Cindy, you referred to them as "tards". Please tell me you have NO contact with the clients. And Jimbo, just reading the filth and hatred in what you wrote. I think what is most important here would be for the authorities, the town residents and the family members who have their loved ones there, to launch a full investigation on the care givers. I worked in a developmentally disabled institution for 2 years providing care. I found it to be the most fulfilling experience ever. Needless to say I was injured forcing me to change careers. They are NOT "tards" they are people that have mental illnesses. This is so alarming, heartbreaking and a real eye opener. What if one of them was your loved one????

Pixie, I just called the county jail and they said that Jim is not there. I called the State Police and they don't have him. I called Tupper Lake PD and they said he is not there either. Did I miss someone? Would you care to give us more info on this? From where I sit right now, it looks as if you are lying.

Due to circumstances beyond his control Jim Lavair is in Franklin County jail in Malone. Anybody going to miss him ??? Guess he isn't so untouchable after all..

Hi, I have a question. Jim, if you are going through arbitration and you lose, then wouldn't that be considered being dismissed with cause? As such, does NY pay unemployment for people that were fired for cause? Now, don't jump on me. I am not making a judgement either way as to what is right or wrong about whatever is going on there. Get real a*s munch! I got a ticket for being on a sidewalk such as such criminally negligent cop and had to pay a fine! I also got ticketed for failure to use turn signal! That was also an $80.00 fine I had to pay.The Tupper Keystone Cops will try to aresst me no matter what! I will continue to fight Sunmount and the Tupper Lake Police! Yes you are going to arbitration. Do you think for one minute that Sunmount is going to entertain the thought of re-enstating you after the things you have done? "I didn't do anything wrong" "I will never be fired" seems that you must have done something to be on suspension pending termination.
