I found an $80 pending charge on my bank account January 11, 2011. No phone number was included, only the company saving4u New York, NY. I emailed my bank immediately, but it was after hours. On January 12, it had cleared before I had received a response from my bank, but there was a phone number.

I called the phone number, and it was another company. When I explained what I was calling about, she asked if the company was saving4u, I said yes, and she told me that they had an incorrect phone number, and actually gave me the correct phone number (maybe this has happened quite a bit?).

When I was finally able toreach someoneon January 13, I spoke with a representative who said they had a recording of me on January 3, 2011, giving authorization for debiting the $80 for a coupon book. My husband has been unable to pay child support for 4 months now, I can barely even pay my bills, my daughter is having to buy food and give me gas money so I can go to work to pay the house bills.

I asked to listen to this recording, and the beginning andending were very staticky, but the middle that had me giving my credit card number and expiration date were surprisingly clear. I know for a fact that I did not make this authorization a week and a half ago, because I had to work that day, and I didn't get home until later. Plus, for about 6 or 8 months now, I don'tuse the home phone unless it is a local call, I use my cell phone forall other calls.

However, at least ayear or so ago, I had received a marketing call (which is the main reason I stopped answering the phone) that offered me a subscription of some sort, I believe it was for vacation time with discounts. It sounded ok, I got the name of the company (which I have since forgotten) and received assurances that if I wanted to cancel, as long as I called them in the next 3 to 5 days, I could cancel. I researched the company, couldn't find much on them, and a couple of days later, called and cancelled, and was told there would be no charge to my card.

Somehow, these people used that recording of me, spliced it with the new date, and used it to make it sound like I had approved this transaction. I DID NOT!!! My car insurance is about to lapse, and I can't get my car tag renewed now, I don't have enough money to cover it all, now that they took that $80 out, and I don't know what I'll do now!
