Surplus Outlet Center Patricia Hoover Fitness equipment rip off, Internet
My boss contacted surplus outlet centers after viewing a pilates machine on line that she was interested in. They wrote back about the equipment along with a code to get white glove shipping and set up for free if you spend over a certain amount. My boss then asked me to order the machine. I went to order and had to go get a green dot money pak as payment.
As I paid for the money pak the cashier told me how she had used them and how great they were ( she had used hers through paypal with no problems) I then proceeded to pay for the pilates machine. I was able to go back on the site and confirm that payment was received. We just happened to be out of town the next couple of days so we were not even leary yet when the pilates machine was not yet at the house.
After about a week we became concerned but then received an email from surplus outlet center stating that the pilates machine had been shipped. We have not received the machine. The website is now down. The phone number does answer with surplus outlet center but you leave a message and noone calls you back. After reading the other reports on here I have now accepted that she has been ripped off for $1100.00 and I am now starting the process of reporting the scam whereever I can to at the very least avoid another person getting ripped off.
