Susan Guillot pretends to run a non-profit 501c3 organization. The name of that "non profit" she list is Second Hand Souls Animal Rescue and Animal Actors. We purchased a Friesian Colt from this woman back in February of 2015. As soon as we got down to the final payment she refused to accept it and said she decided to keep him. She has refused to even refund any of our monies paid. The first time we had ever been to her place we noticed it was in shambles. She explained to us that she was a non profit animal rescue, had just lost her husband, and lost her home. She explained to us that she was in the process of getting the proper shelter and things needed for the multitude of animals on her property. We felt sorry for her and didn't question her intentions with the other animals. Months had passed and still no shelters or proper housing had ever been established for these animals. We noticed this because we would visit her facility each time we would go out to her place to make our monthly payment for our Friesian foal. It finally got so bad that we mentioned this to her. There were maggots on the ground in the horses stalls and in their water buckets, which were hardly ever full. The horses that she's claims were rescued had lost so much weight that you can see their ribs, hip, and back bones. They are just skin and bones. No shade from the sun and no shelter from the rain. There is close to 20 horses grouped together in less then 2,000 square feet of space. Close to the horses is a dog kennel with 16 dogs grouped together. They had shade but the kennel was always covered deep in feces. She's expressed to us on multiple occasions how she is in poor health and can't afford to hire any help. She also expressed that her income is so low that she can only purchase a bale of hay here and there. It's really sad because the Friesians that were on her property didn't even look like Friesians anymore. Manes were dreaded, and they have become skin and bones. She's breeding these horses in this condition as well. I expressed my concern to her about my goal nursing from his mother who can hardly sustain her own life. I offered to give her the final payment and take my goal to get medical attention to make sure he was okay too. That's when she flipped out and said she decided to keep him and refused final payment. I called animal control and they have an open investigation with her regarding animal abuse. It's so sad that it makes me cry, not only for my foal but for all the other animals living there in those conditions. It would take your breath away to see it in person. We've since discovered others that she's done this to. Let's them make payments for a Friesian foal and then refuses the last payment so she can call it a civil matter, then resells it to another buyer. I'm writing this to only warn others so they do not get scammed like we did. We are in the process of taking her to court but I doubt we will ever see a penny even if we win. Please beware of her. I have pics of her emaciated horses if anyone wants to contact me.

Defaulted on contract

#2REBUTTAL Individual responds

These people have defaulted on a month to month payment contract since Sept of 2015. They claim they tried to pay but this is a lie. They came to my property on the pretense of paying but said they would only pay if they could take the foal they were making payments on. It was 109 degrees that day and the foal was only 5 weeks old at the time, too young to leave the mother.

Animal Control came out on their claims of maggots, no food, starving animals etc.I have their report of that day and the followup visit I REQUESTED. I would be happy to share this with anyone. There was no finding of starved animals, food was present for all, no maggots and they were counseled as to the appropriate age a foal can be weaned.

They have continued to publically post lies & pictures of animals I have never had on the property. I assume they have cut and paste them from internet. They have been sued in court for defamation and breach of contract. They have appeared at my property when they believed I would not be present to try to take what they have not paid for!

They have lied to the court, posted defamatory statements, false pictures, provided a false address to the court, false phone numbers etc. I am at the address on the contract with one phone number. This is the pot calling the kettle black. They are hiding behind false info yet I'm accused and in plain sight.

It is too easy for people to post defamatory stuff with no proof or false proof.
