Susan conducts estate sales and staging.Susan promises both sale and post sale services. Pre sale difficulties included alleged staff losses and missed appointments which  led to inadequate and last minute prep. A couch I had no intention of selling without achieving a net price stated 3 times to her was sold for far less.. She could never answer monetary questions and when the check was eventually issued for far less due to the couch, she stated to cash it and she would send remainder soon. Never received. Many items were stolen at the sale . She also offers post sales representation on unsold goods and sold many items ,one at a fraction of what I agreed to sell it for with no permission asked,  again without paying and continued promises until the point where she ceases communication. I referred a neighbor to her before these problems surfaced and she is going through similar issues. I also was told by another person they needed to hire a lawyer to get their funds and merchandise.

despite the entertaining words by artful estate sales, none of which is factual, the fact remains that the elusive check for items sold post sale was never received and she has never returned my items . i wish I had never hired her, and had to resort  to the Internet to receive justice, al I want is my check, goods, and to never read her imaginary version . Had she acted professionally she would have never received news coverage on wxyz tv in Detroit and on their website for so many other victims.

Her rebuttal full of ridiculous, untrue, and irrelevant statements. I just want my check and merchandise. Check xxyz detroit website for an expose' on her business.

I will not address the fraudulent statements made regarding ridiculous details that have nothing to do with the fact you have repeatedly told me, and several other clients, you mailed checks when you did not, in fact, wxyz in Detroit is actively working with numerous clients who were not paid , nor goods returned.

Susan's paperwork is astoundingly lacking for details of items sold, donated, so in my opinion, deception is so far reaching it explains why her business is under so much scrutiny. Susan, mail the checks for what I am owed , return the China and serving pieces , and I will happily report that as well. susan and her business  are unreachable and uresponsive and that is why there is television expose on you and your business.

We conducted an Estate Sale under very trying circumstances for Nancy Friedman last year, in a house where the dogs, she raises and sells were allowed to defecate and pee throughout the house and everything was covered in dog hair and in dissarray.  Our contract reads that the client should not be in the house, and that the house be clean enough to conduct a sale in when we hold it.  In spite of her not meeting the conditions of the contract, we continued to work on her sale.   We cleaned as we held the sale and employees of the company were ordered about as if they were servants, one was so distressed he walked out one evening.  We conducted the sale, where she turned down reasonable offers on artwork and items, and finished the sale, cleaned up the house and took a limited number of items on consignment for sale later.  No guarantees are given to clients about the amount they can expect from the sale of an item, nor would we take consignment items where the client controls the price.  Indeed our contracts read that pricing is done by the company.  As to her consignment items -  One of the items, an old fur coat, that had never been professionally stored or cleaned we later sold for $300.00, a good price considering it was outdated and in poor condition, other items included used and dated exercise items and clothing and purses that we had to clean and launder in order to try to sell and even donate on her behalf, since charities don't want garbage or dirty items either.   When she found out how much we sold her items for she demanded I pay more than the selling price and threatened to ruin me in social media.  She is continuing that campaign.  She has been paid for everything sold, we are still awaiting her to pick up her incomplete set of inexpensive Mikasa dinnerware.   The neighbor she refers to was paid for her sale, her post consignment sales and her items were returned to her for her to donate to the charity of her choice after we were unable to sell all of them for her.

Often people feel their items are worth much more than they are on the secondary market, and she is one of those people.  Estate Sale Conductors are used to all sorts of conditions, and many charge for the cleaning service that we provided free of charge.  This woman has been named in a public slander suit involving the dog breeding she is in, after unfairly attacking another breeder along with other breeders.
