SW TRANSMISSIONS STRAIGHT RIPOFF- DO NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY TENNESSEE Internet
I ordered a transmission from SW Transmissions on 2/18/15. The transmission went out not even 90 days later. I called to have another transmission sent.
First they told me with no problem that to call back when the mechanic was ready to have it picked up and that they would have another one shipped express, which was very okay with me considering that my warranty was for a year.
The moment I called back to let them know that my mechanic was ready that is when everything changed. The guy I talked to in warranties, with the soft voice, told me that I was supposed to fax them a diagnostic of the transmission.
I would have done that if I was told that prior. When I explained to the guy about not having been told that prior he told me that it was not their fault and hung up on me.
I called back asking to speak with the supervisor, Scott, and he was no help either. I left about 10 messages on his phone and never received a call back. No matter how many times I called and no matter how many times I was told he was in I never talked to him or received a call back.
Their warranty states it is good for a year only if you activate the warranty within 10 days of the part being installed. I did all of that and they did not honor the warranty. I have no reason to lie about my son's transmission going out because I have already paid for the transmission.
I had to end up purchasing another transmission for my son's car. Another $1000 out of my pocket for a transmission and another $450 dollars for the labor.
I am a single mother and I can't afford to have this kind of thing happen to me. I guess if I had been a man I might have been taken more seriously and not treated with such disrespect. I have tried to call again several times but I think that they know the number so that don't even bother answering the phone.
They are the biggest ripoff that I have come in contact with. I can't believe that they are still in business with what they are doing to people.
