S.W.A.T. Towing Rude, Shaddy, Unlawful. Internet
7/7/2010 I was going to a salon to get a facial done off of University on Mill Ave, so as I was driving pass the salon which is more like a house that had been turned into a salon, I didnt see any parking but there was a sign that said parking in back. So i drove and at the corner of the street there is a subway with parking behind it so i went ahead and assumed this was the parking for the few stores on the sidewalk inculding the subway. I saw the signs saying parking for residents and customers only, which NONE said they were exculisvely for subway. I have seen in the past that those sings will say for this store only, these did not have any store name on them. so i went and had my facial that i had saved up for since the past week there had been alot of stress with my husband being deployed to afgahnistan in the marine corp. and after a relaxing time in there i cam out to seeing them with my car on the tow about to leave! I ran after the guy who was nice enough to give me a ride home and not leave me stranded but he said that there was no way getting it back unless i went down there and paid 155, or i could pay him in cash and hed give it to me there. which is shaddy. so I got home and my brother luckily came and got me and got my car out, the next day i looked at the invoice they had given me and it was for the WRONG CAR! not even the same auto maker, so i called and they said that they were wondering what had happend to it, assumeing it was missing in the computer, and i went down and they gave me a new one and took the old one back. and then i went back and double checked those signs that had mislead me into thinking it was ok to park there thinking maybe it did say subway, after i saw that there wasnt i call the towing company asking who had asked to tow my car and they said they couldnt give me that info, and i might add they were VERY rude to me on the phone pretty much not letting me talk and hanging up on me. so i went into subway got the corp number and called they then said that those parking spots were for the salon tatto parlor and subway and that this has happend alot. so the guy was super nice trying to get me as much info as he could and then i called back the tow company asking to talk to the manager and he was out on lunch. i had told them to have him call me when he gets back which he never did. so i called the cops and they said its all civil matters and that they would make a report of it if i want to take them to small claims court, which i will. but then they did some kind of search to see whos parking it was and it was excluive for subway but there is no signs saying that and is extremly missleading. so now the guy that was so nice from subway has lied to me and im waitng for a call back to ask futher on this matter, to see who i need to be taking to court. and after doing some other googling i have seen many posts that people have had problems with this shaddy towing company.
