I signed an online contracted to do business with Synergy Pro Consulting, (aka- Synergy Pro Marketing) (Synergy) in May 2009 to help me get a grant for my new real estate investment business. They said that they had helped people in my business get at least $100,000 and more in grant money and knew just how to help me. (I learned about them through Grant Seeker Pro who they have contracted with. Grant Seeker Pro will refer you to Synergy for specialized help when you purchase their grant package.)
My contract amount was for $5,350 and I paid $500 down. I also had them do a professional Business Plan for my company. I made monthly payments in the amount of $183.16 for three months. I stopped paying them because I was very dissatisfied with my Business Plan and getting nowhere in securing a grant. I repeatedly asked for help and no one, even the owner, Mel Feller, who was my personal success coach, would return my calls or respond to my e-mails. I had e-mailed Mel Feller that I had run out of options and needed his staff to research these grants for which I could apply for this free money. He was very little help all along and only gave me information that I had already learned about and researched on my own.
Their billing company, Duvera Financial (DVRA) tried to contact me for payment a few times to no avail. I learned that they filed a negative report against me that greatly reduced my credit score and showed the remaining balance of $4,656.59 (with high interest) was delinquent and in collections. When I spoke with their collections company, Palomar Associates, they agreed to accept $2,100 then $1,800 two weeks later to get this matter settled and delete (completely wipe out) this entry from my credit report.
I want the entry removed completely from my credit report NOW. They owe me money! One Thousand Forty-nine Dollars and forty-eight cents ($1,049.48) to be exact because they did not deliver on any of their promises. I received a very poorly written Business Plan that several professionals have told me are missing sections, poorly written and organized, and cannot be used for anything! And not one grant or even a valid application that I or my company even appeared to be eligible for; just a few 30-minute phone conversations with Mel Feller (some big real estate guru). I detailed in a memo and faxed to him just what I expected from him and reiterating our initial conversation. And that was on-hands assistance and direction in obtaining a large grant for my real estate business which he guaranteed during that call. I have memos and fax confirmations and sent e-mails to prove it.
I demand (1) my full refund of $1,049.48, and (2) I also demand that this most negative entry on my credit report be completely deleted and done so immediately. I wish I could also get back the 100+ hours I wasted in efforts trying to get a grant (Internet searches, correspondence, calls, etc.) and time taken from my little girl. I am working with a small budget and am a single parent. I refuse to waste another dime or ten minutes of my time again. I am just so sorry that I ever heard of Synergy Pro Consulting.
