Since i posted this complaint tmobile has implemented a text/email block for prepaid and postpaid accounts. I was told my block is active yet messages slipped through. i had to contact CSl at least 6-8 times to complain. Seems ok for now, not getting any texts.

It's not feasible for me to notify everyone i changed my number. I did notify senders to stop and they did but still a few messages get through every now and then. It's tmobil's problem. My contract ends soon.

P l e a s e..... r e a d ....t i t l e...... "T-MOBILE SMS/MMS CHARGES I CAN'T CONTROL...." You are comparing apples and oranges. What does landline have to do with incoming sms/mms charges 101 million (101,000,000) tmobile subscribers cannot control because some messages not intended for them (sent by mistake, misdialed, etc)???!!! I am not upset because tmob gave me recycled number. It was too late to change it when i started getting sms/mms. Changing number does not guarantee i won't be getting sms. I posted my complaint on behalf of everyone who is NOT IGNORANT! and wants to make it better and improve things and not be taken by providers. There should be an option to control incoming messages just like we have control over anything else. I am not a victim. You are the one who needs help with attention disorder. hello....? anything getting through? -------------------- I don't know why you're so upset that T-Mobile gave you a recycled phone number. When was the last time a landline company gave you a brand spanking new number? Maybe when an area code changed!! You should change your phone number. T-Mobile already gave you credits for your inconvience...now it is your turn to do something. Stop acting like a victim and help yourself!

IT'S A MONEY MAKING SCHEME ANY TIME ONE CANNOT CONTROL SOMETHING WHICH RESULTS IN PAYING FOR SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF AN AMOUNT, 1 CENT OR 1000$. PENNIES MULTIPLIED BY MILLIONS OF SUBSCRIBERS WHO CANNOT CONTROL SMS/MMS CHARGES. CHANGING PHONE NUMBER DOES NOT GUARANTEE END OF INCOMING MESSAGES.

In situations like this, we offer to change the phone number. I'm sorry that none of the other numbers we could offer you at that time were to your liking. We have no system in place for restricting these messages as they appear to be legitimate messages to us. It's also simply infeasible to audit a single customer's account each month and issue a credit for "wrong number" texts. I sincerely hope that the unwanted messages have stopped.
