Everything that "H" says about that Taco Cabana is TRUE and then some. The food is watery ---especially the frijoles-- which should be the consistency of mashed potatoes --and the flour tortillas were burnt on the edges,etc.. There was plastic from the wrapper in my rice and a piece of broken something in my enchilada under the disgusting, slimey, stinking iceberg lettuce! Lechuga they call it and you CAN choke on it like I nearly did. I had to pay for it anyway... AND WHILE I AM TRYING TO CHOKE THIS GARBAGE DOWN, THERE IS HEAD-SPLITTING, EAR- SALSA MUSIC BLARING WITH OBSCENE LYRICS IN SPANISH! IT is called yellow merenge folks and our local discotechas don'[t sell it because the lyrics are so objectionable! SO WHY ARE THEY PLAYING THIS--TO KEEP PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND SPANISH AWAY --OR MAYBE THEY WANT TO ATTRACT PEOPLE WHO LIKE THIS SORT OF "MUSIC." I solved the problem nicely: I JUST DO NOT GO THERE ANYMORE! I vote with my wallet and my feet follow... I am not accusing the restaurant of being in violation of the State Health Department and city health department sanitation standards. Those seemed to be OK INSIDE THE RESTAURANT! Except for the restrooms... IT IS NOT AGAINST THE LAW NOT TO KNOW HOW TO COOK FOOD AND DO IT RIGHT! Eventually, something will happen to that crew. They will be fired and a new crew will take over. That's how it always is in restaurants. High turnover, incredibly low wages, incredibly untrained and disgruntled employees... take it out on customers... Oh well...

Calling TC "Mexican" food? Not by a long shot. Had two problems there and e-mailed corporate. They called me back both times, in a couple of hours. Have been going to the one on Fredericksburg Rd in SA for probably 13+ years. The folks who work there usually do a great job. One time I had buckshot in my carne guisada and one time the manager was ripping me off, slightly. Every now and then, they'll have their problems, but it's usually when they have new and inexperienced people.
