Enough is enough! This store manages to remain open despite the terrible service and poor food quality. How does this happen? This is my local store and have continously received poor service but today was the last straw.

Let me share one memorable experience I have witnessed at this location. This is a true story. "Lighter Man" or "Mr. Bic" waited on my daughter and I in the store. Yes, "Lighter Man". A young gentlemen who really wanted to be any where but working the counter at Taco Cabana instead of taking orders at the counter. While we were making our selections he "flicked his bic" repeatedly. Flames shot up from his bright red lighter as he totally ignored us standing in front on him and his register. His co-worker at the next cash register tried and suceeded to pretend he was not witnessing this customer service nightmare. I mean REALLY, he was playing with his cigerette lighter and playing with fire. Amazing! Oh, did I mention that his pants were almost falling down they were sagging so low....Okay, enough said.

I continue to have faith in management. Something will change, service will improve. It can't get worse! But, I have been disappointed over and over. Why do I go back!! Because, it is close to my house and I like mexican food.

Today was the last straw. Another horrible long wait in the drive through. This time with cars behind me honking their horns (it was worse than usual). The girl at the window explained they had "run out" of enchiladas!! When they finally gave me my mexican combination dinner I left quickly (without checking my order) to avoid more angry customers honking their horns! Well, my order was WRONG...again...it is always WRONG....

No napkins, no eating utensils, no enchilada sauce on my enchilada, and no freaking hot sauce. I AM SICK of it!! No more.

I refuse to go to this store any more. I have submitted a complaint to corporate but figure they already know that this location is run by a bunch of dummies.

The cigerette lighter guy aka Mr. Bic or "Lighter Man" is an example of the caliber of people that they hire at this store. I know there are quality managers and employees but they sure are not at this place.

Everything that "H" says about that Taco Cabana is TRUE and then some. The food is watery ---especially the frijoles-- which should be the consistency of mashed potatoes --and the flour tortillas were burnt on the edges,etc.. There was plastic from the wrapper in my rice and a piece of broken something in my enchilada under the disgusting, slimey, stinking iceberg lettuce! Lechuga they call it and you CAN choke on it like I nearly did. I had to pay for it anyway... AND WHILE I AM TRYING TO CHOKE THIS GARBAGE DOWN, THERE IS HEAD-SPLITTING, EAR- SALSA MUSIC BLARING WITH OBSCENE LYRICS IN SPANISH! IT is called yellow merenge folks and our local discotechas don'[t sell it because the lyrics are so objectionable! SO WHY ARE THEY PLAYING THIS--TO KEEP PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND SPANISH AWAY --OR MAYBE THEY WANT TO ATTRACT PEOPLE WHO LIKE THIS SORT OF "MUSIC." I solved the problem nicely: I JUST DO NOT GO THERE ANYMORE! I vote with my wallet and my feet follow... I am not accusing the restaurant of being in violation of the State Health Department and city health department sanitation standards. Those seemed to be OK INSIDE THE RESTAURANT! Except for the restrooms... IT IS NOT AGAINST THE LAW NOT TO KNOW HOW TO COOK FOOD AND DO IT RIGHT! Eventually, something will happen to that crew. They will be fired and a new crew will take over. That's how it always is in restaurants. High turnover, incredibly low wages, incredibly untrained and disgruntled employees... take it out on customers... Oh well...

Not By A Long Shot

Calling TC "Mexican" food? Not by a long shot. Had two problems there and e-mailed corporate. They called me back both times, in a couple of hours. Have been going to the one on Fredericksburg Rd in SA for probably 13+ years. The folks who work there usually do a great job. One time I had buckshot in my carne guisada and one time the manager was ripping me off, slightly. Every now and then, they'll have their problems, but it's usually when they have new and inexperienced people.
