Tammie Michelle Bean: WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU.

In May of 2003 my husband and I were looking for an enclosed trailer. We looked in the Dallas morning news classifieds and found an ad in the paper. The trailer was being sold for $2500.00. I called the seller which is Tammy Bean and set up a meet with my husband and herself. She agreed to deliver the trailer and the title to our home.

Well, she gets there, parks the trailer on our back drive way and then she starts telling us us some lame story about how her husband and her are getting a divorce and how she needed money so that is the reason she was getting rid of the trailer. Well she starts to look for the title in her dirty van, she looks through some boxes and she couldn't find it. So then she says, "Oh, I must of left it in a box at home." because she had been moving. So she says, "How about I leave you all a check for 2500.00 and when I bring you all the title you give me back my check?" Well in good faith we agreed, which was one of our biggest mistakes.

We got her license plate number and her DL# just in case. Well it is now Oct 2003 and Tammie Bean has disappeard from the face of the earth. She changed her number, she no longer lives at the address she gave us. If anyone knows where I can find this woman please let me know. Thanks

I understand the situation and agree with you that what this woman did was dishonest and underhanded, BUT ... if she gave you a check to hold, in the full amount of which you paid for the trailer, why not try cashing it to recoup your loss? If the check is good and you are able to cash it, you can notify the authorities that this woman left the trailer, which is titled in her name, on your property, and you can have it legally removed. Then, use the money to buy a new trailer. If the check is no good and bounces at the bank, then oh well, you are back to square one. But it does not hurt to try first.
