I purchased a jack russell terrier from Tanja Walter and she stated the dog was up to date on all vaccines. When I looked for the rabies certificate it was not in the folder that I recieved from her, she was contacted and she stated she will look for it. A few days later she said she located it and will mail it out. Well, to make a long story short, She tampered with the legal rabies document and the dog was over 1 year over due for his vaccination. The veterinarian( Dr. Hedley Marks of Norfolk County Vet. Service veified the tampering.)

Ms. Karen A. Crowley did purchase a stud dog from me in August 2006 in co-ownership with another breeder. Initially I was unable to find the dog's rabies certificate. After some searching, I found it and in good faith sent it to Ms. Crowley. In September 2006, the certificate was discovered to be inaccurate. At NO TIME did I falsify or tamper with the rabies certificate. At NO TIME did my veterinarian, Dr. Marks, accuse me of tampering or falsifying the certificate. I subsequently offered to pay for the dog to be vaccinated, but Ms. Crowley declined. I offered to take the dog back and refund all monies. Ms. Crowley declined. To the understanding of all parties involved, this matter was closed in September 2006 (I have this in writing). I offered to take the dog back at any time in the future (and compensate Ms. Crowley appropriately). In April 2007, Ms. Crowley requested to return the same dog under a medical clause and the dog was returned to me on April 7, 2007. The dog was returned malnourished, dehydrated and in very ill health (documented by veterinarians). After two months of regular, good quality meals and medical attention, I was able to return the dog to good health, with all medical testings and clearances documented. According to the contract, in May 2007 I compensated Ms. Crowley 1/2 the value of a replacement puppy in accordance with her 1/2 ownership of the dog. Ms. Crowley happily cashed my check and thanked me for it. At that point, I considered our business relationship to be at an end with all parties satisfied. In 18 years of involvement with Jack Russell Terriers, I have many excellent references (provided upon request) and many delighted puppy owners. In that time, I have had one bad experience with a client Ms. Karen A. Crowley, Huckle Hill Terriers. Although Ms. Crowley had mixed references, I took a chance on her and sold her an outstanding stud dog. For that mistake, the dog almost paid with his life.

I do want to add that even though she has some nice dogs/puppies , please be certain that the vaccines have really been given expecially the rabies and that you recieve proof from a veterinarian and maybe follow up with that Vet. to verify. Just my input to avoid any problems.
