Taylor Building Corporation Of America Aka Taylor Homes Built my home that only lasted 4-5 years Louisville Kentucky
First of all you cannot believe one word that comes out of the mouths of anyone that works for Taylor Homes. If Chris Taylor's lips are moving, he's lying.
Our home is in such bad shape, it cannot be fixed, cannot be sold, and is actually rotting away from us. There is a portion of our home that actually fell into the crawl space. We did not build on unstable ground, we built with an unstable builder.
We have been in litigation for years with Taylor Homes and have found through these last several years, their method of doing business has not changed. Lies, Lies, Lies.
Please contact your building association before ever choosing a builder, remember you get what you pay for.
Taylor Homes would not be allowed to to build my dog's house.

Monday-June 22, 2009 We appreciate Rip-off Reports allowing us to reply to such nonsense. I personally invite anyone to view this home and see for themselves the impact the property owners NEGLECT has done to this home. There are always two sides to every story and this is no exception. We build quality homes at affordable prices...that IS what we do. We also build our homes on the customers property...that IS what we do. With that being said, we, Taylor Homes have responsibilities AND our valued CUSTOMERS have responsibilities. ALL of which is clearly spelled out in the signed and agreed upon documentation...before we do anything...this is a easily proven fact. In this particular case we did build this customer a quality home and THEY agreed to certain responsibilities. One of which is PROPER grading and backfilling...that IS what they agreed to do --- but did NOT. This is a critical step with any structure. To this day nearly 10 YEARS later, the property owners STILL have not established a correct grade around this home. Which numerous experts have stated could easily be done. With the incorrect grading the rainwater, etc from THEIR lot dumps around this foundation and rests against it...again, for several years. This has obviously created negative effects to this home and would to any home or structure. Since we did NOT perform the outside work nor sell them the property, we simply cannot be responsible for THEIR NEGLECT. Although this home is not perfect (NO home is), the home we constructed for them passed and exceeded ALL required inspections. Needless to say, I take offense to their unjust remark..."if my lips are moving I'm lying"! We pride ourselves in our customers satisfaction, we have built homes for thousands of customers. A very high percentage of those send us complimentary letters of recommendation raving about their home and experience with Taylor Homes. In fact, everything is clearly documented, my "lips" aren't required to "move", I don't need to say a thing...that's why we reduce everything to writing --- to protect ourselves as much as our customers. In this case, they chose to ignore THEIR responsibilities'. Please note, for over 50 years, the Taylor family has been building quality homes for our valued customers and over 50% of our business comes from referrals, far exceeding the national average of our industry. It is unfortunate that this situation arose but we shouldn't be the ones to blame. We expected the property owners to fulfill their contractual responsibilities as we have fulfilled ours, for whatever the reason --- they chose not to.
