Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

TrackR is suppose to be a tracking device. The company represents that if you put the small device on an item, be it a set of keys, bike, car or whatever and app you download on your smartphone will track down and locate any lost or stolen item in seconds. The app you download uses Bluetooth to locate your lost or stolen item. The site after looking more into detail does say that the device can only be seen up to 100 FEET, It says "Tack it down from anywhere", "If an item goes missing TrackR's Crowed GPS network will help you find it. When another user of TrackR app comes within 100ft. range of your lost item, you will receive a GPS update of where your item is". I must admit, I didn't see that it only went 100ft. and needs the assistance of other people who have the trackr app downloaded. That info is not on the main page, you have to click on a place that says "read more". They have a video that shows how the TrackR works. They place a TrackR on a bike and let it get stolen. The video shows a 10-day laps after the bike is stolen before he goes and looks for the bike. This is the video on youtube.    www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENNDXghGHO5JA. The person looking for the bike was more than 100ft away from the stolen bike, so in the video the only way he could have found the bike is with Crowed GPS, wich means that the thief had to have the TrackR app downloaded on their phone because there was no one else around. I bought 4 TrackR devices and got 4 free. I downloaded the app on my smartphone. I connected to the TrackR device, and it showed up on my smartphone. The only thing is when I zoomed in on the location of my TrackR device it showed it as being next door in my neighbors house. I left the TrackR on the end table in my house walked out the back door of my house 79ft from the device it lost the signal. I walked back in the house where it picked up the signal and of course it still showed the TrackR as being next door. I am still waiting to hear back from them via email as I am unable to contact them by phone to see if I can get my money back. In conclusion, I have decided the TrackR is nothing more than a pet rock.
