Teleglobe Direct ripoff rip-offs Rouses Point New York
We are a small company with only 2 employees; when ANY decision is made we know about it. In November of 2002, we got an invoice from Teleglobe Direct for $364.95, I polietly called them to ask what this invoice was for, they told me an ad for an online directory. Well, we never agreed to this and I asked for proof, they insistent they had proof but never sent us anything. About 2 months later, we got another invoice. This time we were not so poliete. We told them take our name off any list and to show us proof. They were very rude,& unprofessional.
April of this year we got another invoice. This was too much. I logged onto Rip-off Report(as I always do) and sure enough, two more company's just like us. We followed the advise, and contacted our Attorney General's office. We faxed a letter to Teleglobe Direct letting them know the action we were going to take, they called and canceld our "order" that same day.
Companies like these thrive off of big corporation, hoping their invoice will pass through to human resources and get a check made. They made a mistake with us. Question every bill, even if it's from the light company, everybody has a way of getting over.

Let's shut them all down. For directory scammers using ANY New York address, contact the New York Attorney General's office immediately: State of New York Office of the Attorney General Bureau of Consumer Frauds and Protection 70 Clinton Street Plattsburgh, NY 12901 Tel: 518.562.3282 Fax: 518.562.3294 Now is the time to make sure New York knows we take these frauds against business seriously and hopefully they will take action just like Vermont did!
