We had ordered some camera parts from a ebay seller named "texasmediasystems" for a weekend project back in March to film a commercial over the weekend.

Our director got a strange call from 512-440-1400 asking about the place we were working at and having the parts shipped to, the male voiced caller claimed to be an "ebay seller" but refused to identify himself. He asked something about a "transship"(?) and public records about the place including size, layout, structures and other geometric features of the place that seemed out of the scope of a sales. The caller claimed he would continue the transaction on ebay via messages.

We did inquire with other ebay sellers we had baught from in the past but all responded "no", except for one, which never responded (that being "texasmediasystems".

We were then notified by our bank that an ebay seller "texasmediasystems" had made $6000 in additional unauthorized charges and in which case the bank had closed our account down for safety meadures.

We have reason to believe the suspected caller may be an employee or ex-employee of TexasMediaSystems.com in texas, and possibly trying to get information on the location to commit further criminal acts. The local police and FBI had to be notified to assist us in security, reports were filed.

Because our accounts were closed, our crew had no money to get home and our event had to be canceled. We ended up spending over $10,000 on an event we couldn't complete.

We do not know the affiliation of the ebay seller texasmediasystems with texasmediasystems.com

However their ebay store was abruptly stripped of inventory after the incident. After a month, we noticed some suspicious listings appearing again.

We believe someone sets up fake listings to look for high end buyers who may be perceived to have valuables to steal, then try and get public records on their locations to commit a heist or other criminal acts in the name of texasmediasystems.com, we have reached out to law enforcement in Texas as well as the company itself but no response.
